WHO Jumped On the Media's Anti-HCL Bandwagon!

The World Heath Organization reported today that it is stopping the study of hydroxychloroquine (HCL) as a therapeutic for covid 19. This is just one of the highlights of the world's science community and their co-conspirators, the U.S. media community, efforts to kill HCL in its valuable life saving role of combating Covid 19 for mankind! In medical schools for generations to come they should use the examples of the HCL studies done in these times as an example of how not to design medical studies to evaluate potential pharmaceutical therapies for a disease that such study designers should not ignore the science on how the pharmaceutical works on the human body. Specifically, they should call out how the health care professionals involved in these studies ignored the science behind HCL that it obstructs activation of dendritic cells which trigger T and B immune cells to fight antigens attacking the body and how a drug like that should never have been given to patients with compromised immune systems that are fighting a viral infection that has at least taken a significant hold in the patients body.

One recent big study that came out this past friday in the Lancet that the media wants to use to pronounce HCL as dead as a therapeutic for Covid 19 was a large observational study that included 96 thousand patients from 671 hospitals from 6 continents; of course the study had the fatal flaw of including at least thirty percent of the patients taking HCL or its sister drug CL with significant comorbidity these groups probably had higher comorbidity rates but it is unclear from the study report how many patients had multiple comorbidities so the lower number was put forth. This study found that HCL and CL did not offer any benefit in treating Covid 19 and caused a significant increase in heart arrhythmia and thus posed a significant increase in the risk of heart related death. The media ignored a lot of the contents of the study but if one looks at this content from a responsible person perspective it is informative about the value of the study; drug studies should be fair should they not! The study found in the control group (no HCL and no CL) 11.1% died in the hospital, in the HCL group 18 % died, in the HCL plus an antibiotic group 23.8 % died, in the CL group 16.4% died and in the CL plus antibiotic group 22.2% died. The American people know that 1.69 million people tested positive for the disease in the U.S. and 98460 of these people died so America is experiencing a 5.8% death rate. If the studies control group has a death rate of almost twice that of the overall disease affecting America how is this a fair evaluation of this drug your giving it to really sick people people that have the disease people that are at a stage where it really has progressed. The science of the drug, HCL, indicates you don't give it to people with weakened immune system and the value of the drug is it increases the PH of cells so it interferes with the virus movement into the center of good cells and HCL interferes with the structures of viruses receptors inhibiting viruses ability to identify and latch on to good cells. To put it another way HCL just weakens the virus's ability to attack good cells it buys the human body some time to mount an immune system response the science indicates it would have minimal efficacy to start giving it to patients shortly before or once they enter the ICU, the science indicates it was never the drug for these really sick Covid 19 people.

The other really informative thing about this study, is that in the control group these patient were not given HCL and CL but many of them were given anti-viral drugs the doctors for these patient followed the science they brought optimal intelligence to the whole issue. In the control group forty and a half percent received one or more of the following: lopinar, ritonavir (HIV antiviral drugs); ribnavirin (Hepatitis C antiviral drug) and oseltamivir (flu antiviral drug). Common sense would indicate that it was probably these antivirals that saved a lot of these patients lives that took these drugs. The best outcome for the world is that the world-wide medical profession not discard any drug that can play a valuable role in fighting Covid 19; HCL is cheap and fairly readily available throughout the world. HCL has another valuable quality about it in so far that it has the ability to transport Zinc into cells and Zinc interferes with virus's replication with all this media and big shot doctors and scientist campaign to paint HCL as a fool's effort as a therapeutic for Covid 19 it is hoped that the world and America does not lose a valuable prophylactic drug or immediate post exposure drug for Covid 19!
Its not complocated concept. You dont guve patients medicine with no demonstrated effectiveness, especially when it has been demonstrated that it can harm them.

Not sure what about this is so hard to get...

Remdesivir is dead end......

If that is true, then why are so many doctors using it?
They wont be ...new study just wrapped up.....course press dont want you to know that so it got little coverage
Actually, the last study kind of showed it was a dud. It didn't get much coverage after that. Because drugs that dont work dont deserve much coverage.
Might normally be the case.....cept they been pounding on one .....that has helped some including Klobuchars husband

How do you know it helped anyone? We don't. That's the problem. Someone took medicine and got better. Someone else did not take medicine and got better. Someone else took the medicine and died anyway. How do you know the medicine helped? You don't. Only clinical trials can demonstrate effectiveness. Anecdotes aren't good evidence of that.
