Who here is for stimulus checks and why?

Yep -- the idea of sending checks to all these governmental workers or well-off retirees so they can buy even MORE stuff from Amazon while all sorts of small businesses simply rot on the vine boggles the mind.

The funds should ALL be going to those that these fucking fascists have prevented from earing a living -- restaurants, hair dressers, bar owners and the like along with the employees of such.

You NAILED it, no kidding

And how about the set unemployment checks, folks earning more they did without a job, how's that for training, education and message. Again Congress too useless to set criteria and explain it, and Trump never should have signed that shit but they play their political games.

I don't get it. Sure they sent me $1200 last time, neat, catch you on the rebound another $5000, I didn't need or earn a dime of it. Why give checks to people who don't need it, I guess congress is too stupid to open & explain criteria. Course they're useless anyway.

And what about small business? I guess we just look the other way knowing the Chinese, I mean Democrats, I mean Bezos and that are counting on it to fall for their pockets and control of the resources. They'll save us from the sun in the process too, call it man-responsible global warming. Fuck if the real problem is too many people just come out and say it, but I don't buy the other BS.

I remember going into this disaster, so many people earned more money off govt. shenanigan's. Many by a lot, and I can't say I know anyone that didn't unless they're rich anyway. I can't speak for where you live, but where I live if you want a job there's plenty available, because we've been trained for lazy, especially under COVID. What a fabrication of economics we live in today, it's as though debt no longer matters. Perhaps it never did at the macro level, doesn't add up to me though.
I am very much afraid after 4 years of Biden, or most likely 1 or 2 years of Biden and the rest Harris.... America will repeat Japan's lost decade.
His economic plan is an idealistic dreamer plan. And we saw how the market reacted to it yesterday.

Since you brought it up, I was shocked to shit the market didn't tank with word of Biden's "win", it was as though the election never occurred. Perhaps the market was "reacting" to the unknown, but wholly shit, how about a market that was highest it's ever been despite MFing COVID too.

Too me it might mean the market is another fabrication of sorts and/or symbolic where we're at today with technology and BIG ASS corporations running everything as they give commoners the finger.

Other than that baloney any suggestion small business sells through Amazon. Nobody said some didn't and end of day Amazon (Walmart, etc.) still control the resources. They and their Chinese (e.g., Biden). The costs to ship are unreasonable. Today most things cost more to ship than make, especially the overwhelming Chinese crap - what could go wrong.

I'm a small business owner. I want those checks because business has been falling of over the last two months.

The economy needs to have people with money to spend

Considering the fact that a salary under 75 grand is not even middle class, yes, I am fully behind round 3 of stimulus checks for everyone who has received them. It makes sense in every aspect.

Except your point doesn't make sense. Where do you live, San Francisco, Boston or some BS? I'm right on your threshold and might be wealthy, there is a difference.

Spend where, Amazon? How do you spend money when there are so many lockdowns anyhow? Other than that I agree, small business needs a boost where applicable. Even big business to some measure, imagine owning a hotel/casino, governor locks the place up and the town depends on it for their own survival. Same with movie theatres etc. Here's some socialism for you, tax the fuck out of Netflix and distribute to the theatres :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Nothing like picking winners and losers, but we do it all the time.

There are plenty of small businesses that are hanging on by a thread. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Casinos

I don't think Trump had much of a choice. The Republicans were fighting the Democrats for months with the bill, and they finally gave up just before the government was about to shutdown. As always, the media would blame the Republicans only for a shutdown and that wouldn't have helped the Georgia Senate elections.

When it comes to voters, it's kind of like what they say about people with addiction. Some have to hit rock bottom before they come to the realization there is a problem. So that's what America is heading for--rock bottom. If it works the same way, they will understand the only way to get help is keeping those clowns out of power.

The solution to your problem is not stimulus checks, the solution to your problem is move out of whatever hell of an area you live in if 75K is the bottom of middle-class where you live.

Maybe, but remember Amazon employs almost 800,000 Americans. Buying from Amazon gives those Americans jobs. Where I live we have three Amazon warehouses. They always have ads looking for more workers.

So I should shutter my small business and go work for Amazon?
