Once again, people are trying to spin the actions of those in the past with today's standards, while a UnCivil War was slowly ripping the US apart. It wasnt the Union that fired first on Fort Sumpter, it wasnt the Union trying to keep black people in chains, it was the Southern White and some Black Democrats who thought black people were as low as animals, thus being able to keep them as property. If the South was successful in its opposition to the freeing of slaves and annexed themselves from the Union, Hitler or Stalin would of won, and the US wouldnt be free...
