White House 9/11 Talking Points: Al Qaeda Is ‘Irrelevant’ -- Daily Intel

Government employees were given documents by the White House that instruct them on how to commemorate the tenth anniversary of September 11 depending on their audience. American consulates and embassies abroad were delivered one set of guidelines, which stress that 9/11 "is not 'just about us,'" while domestic federal employees received a different one-page document:

The guidelines list what themes to underscore — and, just as important, what tone to set. Officials are instructed to memorialize those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and thank those in the military, law enforcement, intelligence or homeland security for their contributions since.
They also stress "a positive, forward-looking narrative" and note that following the death of Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda isn't even worth mentioning: Although they "still have the ability to inflict harm ... Al Qaeda and its adherents have become increasingly irrelevant."

The Obama Administration is re-writing history again.:cuckoo:

That is equal to saying that Japan and Germany are not worth mentioning in relation to WWII

Nothing has to be "justified". Why should you have any say as to what the White House talking points are?

Oh I forgot. I should not question or have any opinion about if the White House is representing our country in a false (false by omission) manner about the most horrific attack on America since the early days of our country.

I am just a peon, average citizen. I should just shut up and get back in my corner.

LOL, have you got some learning to do about my stubborn determination to speak out when I see an injustice or an issue that I think is dangerous to the welfare of America.

I don't think I could memorize over 2,000 names.

There is only one name that is obviously being omitted: Al Qaeda

Deaths at the WTC totaled 2,605 plus 87 passengers and crew on American Flight 11 and 60 passengers and crew from United Flight 175 in addition to the 10 hijackers.
The Pentagon had 125 deaths, American Flight 77 had 59 passengers and crew and five terrorists were involved.

Read more: How many people died in World Trade Center and the Pentagon

Those people should never be fogotten and will be commemorated at ground zero with the new memorial.

Why don't you parachute into Mecca and say that? Probably because it would be stupid. So, if YOU are not willing to do something stupid, why do you think our gov't should do something monumentally stupid?

Oh you know, it just one of those man-caused disasters where we don’t mention the word terrorist ala Napolitano and Obama.

Oh BROTHER!

Al Qaida has received a serious ass kicking. They are disorganized and being hunted around the globe. All Americans should celebrate and it is something we can be glad for on Sept 11

So many Al Qaida will not be able to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their attack

It was simply a man made disaster that killed those folks.

And it was simply a man made disaster that destroyed our fleet in Pearl Harbor?

Can you imagine getting a talking point memo stating the Nazis were destroyed, don't bother talking about them any more?

You know like "Hitler's dead" so shut up about WWII. These people are nuts.

I agree with you on that. :clap2:
However, if we do not remember what happened and do not recognize that we can be vulnerable. If we sweep what happened under the rug as 'a man made disaster':eusa_liar:, it can and will happen again and we may not come out of it intact the next time.

They took out many of our financial kingpins at the World Trade Center and they tried to take out our military commanders at The Pentagon. That was no disaster, it was an act of war.

I often wondered how many of the 2,605 people in the World Trade Center were key veteran financial players in the US economy and, when it became necessary for them to be replaced with less experienced players, how much that took a toll on our economic well being.
