Which 'progressive' policies have led to improving the quality of life for the bulk of Americans?

We all know that Democrats serve the fringe factions...the dregs.
I can't remember the last time they sent a Bill to the floor or pushed a policy that wasn't aimed to benefit Mexico's citizens and or or the worse among us.
So I ask; what keeps a normal Joe, one not part of the fringe factions on the Democrat Plantation?

Actually it is true that modern mainstream Democrats have usually, like even more rabid Republicans, followed policies that have helped the rich and Wall Street domestically. They have also repeatedly supported neo-liberal imperialist policies abroad, just as Republicans followed the same renamed neo-conservative policies. Only “real progressives” like Elizabeth Warren or even “democratic socialist” Bernie Sanders, have fought for working people and against currupt “crony capitalism” ... in the spirit of FDR (or even Eugene Debbs).

Not that I agree with everything they say — I don’t. But I wish there were more real “Progressive” social democratic pro-working-class politicians. Maybe then there would be more hope that we could change this country’s tragic downward trajectory.
