We had the Congressional baseball shooting on June 14, 2017 where Republicans were actually shot by a deranged Bernie Sanders fan, putting our democracy at risk, and we had the January 6, 2021 incident this year where protesters supporting Trump were attempting to stop the democratic process of elections and possibly more, although the more never actually really happened and the election did wind up being certified anyway, despite the riot. I'm assuming most people know the facts of January 6th but I'm posting a link to the Congressional shooting as it was four years ago. One could argue that Bernie instigated the June 2017 "insurrection" and Trump instigated the January 2021 "insurrection". Cast your vote. Which one was worse?

There was no insurrection in 2017. You had a deranged man who shot some people. Sanders did not incite anything.

That's not how the Constitution is set up. If neither candidate were the certified winner that doesn't mean Trump would stay in office by default. He'd still have to leave office and then we'd go down the succession list.

It was 1-6 and BLM had little to do with the violence last summer. It's documented and only white racists want to minimize 1-6. That was a attack on the capital to overthrow a government to install another one. And why it was far worse is because it was done because people imagined something that did not happen.

You don't know that they were trying to overthrow an election. That is your OPINION. Have any of these people been even charged with insurrection? Not one. Therefore, there was no insurrection. There is plenty of evidence all over the place so if no one is even charged with insurrection then there was no insurrection.

-They were there to stop the certification of a duly elected president. They succeeded in doing so for a few hours even. We know this because that was the aim as stated by the speakers of the proceeding rally. Speakers that included advisors, the family of, and the actual loser of the election in the form of Donald Trump.
