Witness Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victim and proud Brooklyn NY gang member Little Carman talk about young people becoming gang members after being Neglected, Maltreated or Abandoned by their primary Child Caregiver, aka parent or parents:

Back in the day, Tupac Shakur, a Mega-popular American recording artist and Gun Violence Homicide victim, shared his definition for THUGLIFE, as well as his belief that it impacts EVERYONE of ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS >>>

*"The HATE U Give Little Infants Fvvks EVERYONE"* ~Tupac Shakur, Childhood Trauma (ACEs) Victim

Apparently the HATE young Tupac (born 1971) experienced or witnessed, inspired him to not only create his often misinterpreted THUGLIFE Child Neglect, Abuse, Abandonment and Maltreatment AWARENESS PREVENTION PSA...

...Tupac chose to tattoo THUGLIFE in bold letters across his ONCE neglected, hungry "hurting" belly.

Indicating to me he was pretty serious about PREVENTING HATE.

Tupac explains THUGLIFE:

The GOOD NEWS:

According to SCIENTIFIC Medical Research, Tupac was correct!

Early Brain Child Development SCIENTIST, Dr. Bruce D. Perry MD, PhD, spills the beans to Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victim Oprah Winfrey, offering SCIENTIFIC medical research explaining why children who grow up witnessing or experiencing violence, chaos, uncertainty, inconsistency or neglect are more vulnerable, having much HIGHER RATES OF RISK FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS, much higher rates of risk for doing poorly in school or just functioning in the world:

A problem that SOCIETY needs to solve.

But many politicians and many voters say it's up to individuals to solve these problems.

Even though we KNOW this isn't working.

It isn’t “generational child neglect”. It is however decades of intentionally removing black men from their communities by criminalizing things like crack more than powder cocaine, or pot, which was largely used in black communities at the time it was criminalized.

you also have to look at food insecurity.

As for domestic violence, that crosses every socioeconomic line. It isn’t a poverty issue or a race or religion issue

it’s so interesting how you can read what you posted and draw the absolute incorrect conclusion.

There's lots of things that contribute. An overall view will show that politicians have been the cause of this, people who will vilify such people after, probably caused it in the first place.

We hit crack harder, AT THE REQUEST OF BLACK LEADERS, to try to protect the black community.

And imo, Crack is worse than powder.

YOu want to make it better,

1. stop celebrating and encouraging single motherhood.

2. jobs, especially manufacturing jobs.

3. stop immigration, legal and illegal.

Hi, Jillian. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Jillian, beginning in the early 1980s I spent the first 12 years of my police career as an overworked uniformed cop, robbery and homicide detective serving the traumatized Brooklyn, NY community where young Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victims Lil' Kim Jones, Shawn Carter and the late Gun Violence Homicide victim Christopher Wallace were raised, nurtured and socialized.

Sadly, the same community where apparent emotionally troubled Shawn and Christopher revealed they peddled life harming substances to their emotionally troubled, self-harming neighbors regardless of their neighbor's AGE, emotional, physical or MATERNAL condition.

Jillian, during those 12 years I personally witnessed selfish, incompetent, apathetic maternal behaviors explaining why for near 40 years countless male and female American recording artists compose music hatefully informing our entire world that American girls and women of African descent should be viewed as inhuman b!tches and HOES or THOTS unworthy of being treated with basic human respect.

Jillian, during those 12 years I also witnessed apathetic child rearing behaviors explaining why the late Childhood Trauma and Gun Violence Homicide victim Tupac Shakur created his often misinterpreted THUGLIFE Child Neglect, Abuse, Maltreatment and Abandonment AWARENESS PREVENTION PSA.

Jillian, I would like to learn your theory explaining why for near 40 years countless American recording artist have been composing music denigrating American girls and women of African descent as inhuman creatures.

Please include your experiences with observing and/or interacting with fellow citizens experiencing an easily preventable health and social condition known as Poverty.

Jillian, I look forward to reading your thoughtful intelligent reply.

Hi, Daniel. Do you believe apparent emotionally troubled Baltimore mom Ms. Toya Graham was acting in the best interest of the six children she chose to create, as well as her community and Nation, when intentionally introducing her kids to an impoverished, traumatic childhood upbringing fraught with struggles, pain, hardships, depression, uncertainty, sadness, demeaning government handouts, resentment, community violence, community fear and community dysfunction?

Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkowitz and others like them had fathers at home. This racist narrative gots to go. And Avery Jahrman has internalized racism so he has adopted the madness.

"Trayvon Martin had a father. Jordan Davis had a father. Michael Brown had a father. Tamir Rice had a father. Having a father won’t protect black boys from America. "

On August 15, 2013, The Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice published a paper by Mike Males entitled, “Why the Gigantic, Decades-Long Drop in Black Youth Crime Threatens Major Interests.” The data was ignored, even by President Obama. But the implications of this study were so important that it was a dereliction of duty to not make this information widely known to the American public.

“For nearly all serious and minor offenses, including homicide, rates among black teenagers nationally were lower in 2011 than when racial statistics were first collected nationally in 1964. Black youths’ murder arrest rates are considerably lower today than back when Bill Cosby was funny (long, long ago).

“Since the sainted Fifties, America has seen rapid teenage population growth and dramatic shifts toward more single parenting, more lethal drugs and weapons, increased middle-aged (that is, parent-age) drug abuse and imprisonment, decreased incarceration of youth, decreased youthful religious affiliation, and more violent and explicit media available to younger ages. Horrifying, as the culture critics far Right to far Left—including Obama, who spends many pages and speeches berating popular culture as some major driver of bad youth behavior—repeatedly insist.

And after 50 years of all these terrible changes in American culture? Today’s young African Americans display the lowest rates of crime and serious risk of any generation that can be reliably assessed.

In the last 20 years in particular, the FBI reports, rates of crime among African American youth have plummeted: All offenses (down 47%), drug offenses (down 50%), property offenses (down 51%), serious Part I offenses (down 53%), assault (down 59%), robbery (down 60%), all violent offenses (down 60%), rape (down 66%), and murder (down 82%).”

Mike Males, “Why the Gigantic, Decades-Long Drop in Black Youth Crime Threatens Major Interests”

When Males published his findings in 2013, he wrote: “FBI clearance and arrest tabulations now indicate black youths under age 18 account for just 2% of the nation’s homicides.”

I find it laughable what so-called “conservatives” claim .So while people like are letting sounds flow from their mouths that reflect racist opinions, young blacks were described by Males in this manner in his report:

Today’s young African Americans display the lowest rates of crime and serious risk of any generation that can be reliably assessed.”

Thank you for a respectful and informative post. I think we see similar problems but you are looking at it in a real time setting. I try to look at these things from a causative factor, as well. There are endemic problems that lead to the type of non-responsive parenting that you are talking about. Those problems appear to be baked in to the system sometimes. What we do know is that there has been, over the years, an intentional effort to weed out (for lack of a better word) black males. If they are in jail for felony marijuana charges, they aren’t voting. That destroys communities. We know that makes the job harder for people like you. We also know that programs like head start make a huge difference and that when people who didn’t know how to parent are educated, both they and their kids do better.

as for rampant and toxic masculinity and misogyny, it would take a tome to talk about all of the causes. Yes, there is violent imagery in some music. But there is also violent imagery in some movies and TV shows. When Mandy Patinkin left Criminal minds he said that the reason he left, at least in part, was the constant flow of horrible things done to the “victims” (primarily women) portrayed in the show. It is also a fact that domestic abuse crosses all sociopath-economic lines. I couldn’t begin to tell you why, except that it is incumbent on people to teach their boys to treat every woman as if she could be their mother or their sister.

I would caution you against relying on racial images. These aren’t racial issues. They are poverty issues. The average woman on welfare is a white single mother. Perhaps we should start by making birth control and sex education readily available, so that babies stop having babies. That’s a start.

again, thank you Avery for a thoughtful response.

Young Mothers Are Poisoning the black community

During this conversation with social commentator and Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victim Tommy Sotomayor,
Dr. Oya Maat, PhD refers to "The Destruction of The Black Family."

Dr. Maat also speaks about her research revealing a high rate of Child Abuse by African American women:

Dr Oya Maat Tommy Sotomayor Moms Child Abuse/Emotional Neglect

This is the tearful female caller Tommy and Dr. Maat mention:

Tommy Sotomayor & Tearful Female Caller Address Child Abuse

Jillian, considering approx 70% of AA children are raised by single moms, many who support the Matriarchal focused Black Lives Matter movement, whose website does not mention hetero men or fathers, yet does talk about DISMANTLING the Patriarchy...

...I am fairly certain most boys and men are not abandoning children they wanted to create.

In fact, behaviors I've witnessed with my own eyes, assure me many American moms of African descent are intentionally introducing children to a fatherless childhood, teen and ADULT life.

The maddening aspect about all this is, many apparent SELFISH, immature, apathetic teen girls and women are intentionally becoming pregnant, regardless of whether or not teen boys and men want to create new life.

Sadly, as Ms. Jazzyslim stated, in today's world there is a growing population of apparent emotionally troubled, duplicitous women becoming pregnant by men who had no intention of building a family or getting a woman pregnant in the first place.

While SOME men abandon the children they wanted to create, the fact is many African-American boys and men, much like males of any background, are just looking to get laid and have no intention of getting a female pregnant.

I am hopeful one day citizens will recognize there is a darn good reason why for more than 30 years American male and female music artists of African descent compose music denigrating women as inhuman creatures and hoes or thots unworthy of being treated with basic human respect.

I'm not writing this to be mean. I'm writing it because it's a FACT that many citizens choose to WILLFULLY IGNORE.

Jillian, I've watched each of the aforementioned videos
In their entirety, some I watched more than once.

With all due respect, I am hopeful you too will listen to these apparent caring citizens share their concerns, thoughts and opinions.

Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell on November 24, 1946, to Eleanor Louise Cowell (1924–2012; known as Louise) at the Elizabeth Lund Home for Unwed Mothers in Burlington, Vermont.

A problem that SOCIETY needs to solve.

But many politicians and many voters say it's up to individuals to solve these problems.

Even though we KNOW this isn't working.
How can SOCIETY solve that problem without completely shitting all over free will?

In fact, using government to solve that problem for the last 100 years has done nothing but exacerbate it.

And it's not a race issue. It's not a "black" thing. Man of all races have ultimately failed at being men. When society starts trying to take away the mechanisms of masculinity, the results are devastating.

The reason most modern societies have a rounded masculinity it's because women cannot compete for resources when masculinity is allowed to thrive.

we have got to reverse every single effort to stifle masculinity. THAT will solve a SHIT TON of these problems.

The childish “I can do whatever I want” ijits really need to grow the f up

1) About 70% of non-reciprocal Domestic Violence is by women against male partners. Here. About 50% of Domestic Violence is reciprocal.

2) Mothers are twice as likely to abuse children as fathers. {Data from U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services “Child Maltreatment” reports, 2001-2006} Thus, many adult children are hostile to their mothers.

Even though we KNOW this isn't working.
Should we install foolproof chastity belts on unmarried females in the hood?

or legalize armed robbery, murder and drug dealing so that black fathers could remain home with their baby momma and the kids?

Capital is important under capitalism. It is why equal protection of the law for unemployment compensation can help out with this issue by solving for simple poverty. It would also lower the cost of Government by reducing the need for means tested welfare.
