And why would you keep throttling forward forcing even more water into the boat?

No, it's alright. A bit of common sense would say that it is operates safely with 3 people, or maybe 4 at most.

Those inlets are VERY TRICKY and even experienced captains have hard times negotiating a boat of similar size.

Here is one example. My hometown Inlet in Jupiter of how fast things can go wrong.

If it was a rental boat, no way they should allow that many onto that little boat. Really, that boat is designed for lakes and is built well for intercoastal bar hopping type of stuff.
