What's the Deal with the Blackout in the EU on the Iberian Peninsula?

Atmospheric phenomenon is what they are saying.....Something to do with extremes in temps.

But why are you shouting?

CNN isn't guessing right now on the cause, but to have a whole grid like this drop that quickly is not a normal occurrence regardless of the cause.

Yeah but in the land of windmills it could also just be the wind dying down...BBC just reported that nothing has been ruled out

It was about europe, needed to get folks attention :abgg2q.jpg:

100% renewable power, what a concept!

This doesn't seem like a grid failure due to low supply, which usually has a rolling quality or staged quality to it.

This seems like a bunch of safety relays popped off at once and they are having a bugger of a time figuring out why.

Portugal operator says restoring power grid could take up to one week

The estimate came after it said a rare atmospheric phenomenon in Spain due to extreme temperature variations in the country's interior caused power outages across the Iberian Peninsula.

They are coming up with this reason way too quickly for me tastes.

Are they talking about sagging transmission lines striking trees? Because that has caused a few big outages in the US.

Fuck if I know, just posting what they put out.....Perhaps you should call and ask. ;)

Have anyone mentioned The Evil Russian Hackers? No? It's good. It's truly difficult to search a black mamba in the dark room, especially if it is really there.

Russian, even you are too stupid for that. But I've always told Atlan da Gonozal not to charge his solar-powered shuttle from the power grid. But he never listens when you tell him something. I'd be interested to know why he was in such a hurry and what he needed the missing 60 gigawatts for.

but no one is really talking about it,

It is the Sun's effect plus Earth's steadily weakening magnetic field .

They do not want to mention the word ,Sun, because that might encourage the Stupids to understand Climate Change .

Neither do they wish attention being brought to our weakening magnetic field because there will be many more and much worse outages .
And there is nothing you can do about that .

I'm hearing it is "probably" not a cyber-attack but "an atmospheric phenomenon" but no one is really talking about it, word out of the BBC is that millions have no electric...ya can never have enough windmills eh folks?
How many conspiracy theories can you squeeze into one moronic post ?

Relax, your records are safe.
Deconstructing your tin foil nonsense is instructive. You start with saying that nobody is talking about it and yet it has been the main item on the news all week. Every channel.
Then you have a dig at wind power. Without any ecidence as usual. Your lazy speculation is typical of your type.
