What would an alternate timeline where a TV show with space travel was popular and mainstream during 2010-2015 be like?

Space themed sci fi struggled very much during the early 2010s.

People in the early 2010s seemed to have stopped dreaming about the future.

What would a timeline where a space themed show became at least half as mainstream as shows like "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones" during the early 2010s be like?

I imagine it would be a timeline where humanity had most of it's act together.

Development of fusion power and electric cars better supported in the 80s-90s.

No involvement by the USSR and US in Afghanistan leading to weaker or possibly no Al Qaeda.

An international effort to land human on Mars on track to landing humans on Mars by 2020.

It would probably been an alternate world where everyone was smarter and less selfish.

No reality TV boom in 2008.

Space adventures are the only way humans will experience space travel for the next few centuries.

There is no cost-effective way for humans to travel in space and no commercial inducement for them to go there.

Traveling into space from your sofa is the only game in town.
