From what I understand the route they chose to run a pipe line to the Mediterranean AROUND ISRAEL TO LEBANON crosses Syria.

That was Qatar not Saudi Arabia. Israel doesn't pay their bills... Like the hundreds of millions they owe Iran.

KSA had TAPLINE across Syria to Sidon.. Too much sabotage. They won't do that again.
