What the Chauvin trial reveals.

It's true that if Floyd had not resisted arrest he'd be alive. But that doesn't justify that the cop turned around and choked him to death. Chauvin was guilty. I agree with you that I don't like Floyd being hailed as any sort of great person, he wasn't. But it's not up to the cops to kill crappy people on the street, it just isn't
I think that people should understand that if you resist arrest you might well die. None of this $27 million to his family because he resisted arrest. Now everyone will do it even more. Should just have shot him.

So if you want the penalty for resisting arrest to be death by cop on the street, get that enacted into the law.

Most people think punishments should be proportional to the crime and cops should not be allowed to be judges on the street. But you can make your case.

That you're a libertarian is laughable though, you're a statist
For people who don't like the government telling them what to do, they sure do want to give the police an awful lot of power. I wonder if they were murdering young white boys would they still want the cops to have that much power? No way.

Reminds me of welfare. Conservatives used to love welfare for poor single moms until the Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional for them to deny poor black women when they don't deny poor white women.

Same thing here. Because it's blacks being killed, they have no empathy like they would if they were white men being murdered.

Virtually everyone on both sides supported conviction. Just doesn't fit the narrative, huh?

You don't have to wonder. Same shit happens to white people you just refuse to see it considering it has been pointed out before.

Only these cops went back to work after. Chauvin goes to jail like he should. Seems like you were looking in a mirror.

I know it is pointless as you are honest in your support of totalitarianism but...

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”
- Atlas Shrugged

We live in a world where you break, on average, 3 federal laws PER DAY according to Harvey Silverglate and it is hard to refute it.

Wherr I disagree is with the idea that we should not want a nation of innocent men. My belief is that we need exactly that; which is why we need a society of Privileges rather than Rights. Privileges garnered by living within society’s limitations every single day.

The idea that we break 3 Federal laws per day is largely a matter of the need to seriously cull Federal laws more than anything else.

It does speak to the need to cull law but ALSO speaks to your statement: 'I see no place in society for those who cannot follow the law 100% of the time." Weather or not that is true in your ideal society it certainly is not true in the current one.

Thst might be part of why I have no use for our current “modern” society.

George Floyd was the victim of the Great Society, the War on Poverty, and Affirmative Action, not Derek Chauvin.

George Floyd was the victim of Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck for eight minutes cutting off oxygen.

All while being handcuffed and surrounded by three armed policemen
Floyd was a victim of his own resisting arrest. No resisting, no knee of the neck.

He was not resisting for 8 minutes
Unconscious is not resisting

I watched 8 minutes of video, I did not see a man resisting
Then you didn't see the whole altercation. Blacks resist arrest because they all want their $10 million like Rodney King. Either that, or they are all just fucking stupid not to realize that they could die if they resist arrest.

Thanks for your honesty.
There was nothing wrong with Chauvin’s actions because blacks are “all just fucking stupid”.
Got it.
I would give the cop a 2 year sentence, because he did something wrong. But most of the blame lies with Floyd for resisting

I never saw any resisting.
Nor was there any reason to arrest Floyd even.
The $20 bill was not proven to be counterfeit, and anyone can unwittingly pass along a counterfeit bill.
Passing a counterfeit $20 is no longer a felony, but just a $100 fine misdemeanor.
In no way should the police have arrested Floyd.
They would not have if he was white, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc.
He resisted arrest, you ignorant woke snowflake.

Not cooperating with being stuffed into the back seat of a little SUV, sideways, is not resisting.
That was his right.
No it wasn't his right to resist arrest. You urban chimps are really something, like you have a right to resist arrest. Idiots.

What was Floyd arrested for?

And now it's coming out this bad cop had a history. So sorry but I'm a proud member of BLM. Time to reform the cops. They work for us and they need to do better.

The Derek Chauvin trial is revealing a dangerous drop in intelligence in the United States presided over by media, academia, and politics. Americans old enough to remember the verdict in the 1995 OJ Simpson double murder trial witnessed no mass rioting by whites even though Simpson was clearly guilty. Simpson, a black celebrity, killed his estranged wife’s lover by slashing his throat and nearly decapitated her with a knife that was never found.

Simpson then got an airplane with a severely cut hand and fled the scene. What followed was an almost cartoon-like caricature of the US legal system where the venue was changed to make use of a racially tainted population that virtually guaranteed a not guilty finding. The prosecution was comically incompetent relying on the new science of DNA, overwhelming an IQ-challenged jury that could barley comprehend ABC. In defense of the jury, they also knew that if they did not ignore the obvious evidence and free Simpson they would likely have been murdered by an angry mob. Once again, after the verdict, no rioting by whites.

In the ensuing 26 years American higher education, in particular liberal arts, has shifted from educating to indoctrinating and with emergence social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, white intelligence has plummeted to levels so low that life expectancy has dropped in the United States. The resounding theme in American education and its arm banded propaganda media today is that white Americans are bad and must be ethnically cleansed by marginalized minorities via Critical Race Theory with help of “good” whites in order to save democracy.

George Floyd was the victim of the Great Society, the War on Poverty, and Affirmative Action, not Derek Chauvin. The destruction of the nuclear family by white intellectuals put Floyd on the pavement that day so loaded with drugs that his heart gave out. So, in essence, Floyd did die at the hands of White Supremacy imposed on him by white elites that have ruined America by inciting groups to overthrow the country and rebuild it in the image of socialist academic and political aristocracy.

Our system is in dire straits. A ballot stuffed election is the least of our problems. The intelligence of many Americans is so low that they could easily be persuaded to give up all their freedoms and liberties. Meanwhile cities will burn if we do not comply with the plan. Stay tuned.
black guy kills two whites and the blacks jump in jubilation when said black guy is acquitted! and they want us to believe white privilege. too fking funny.

Consider it payback for the hundreds of thousands of black men who were murdered by white men or thrown in jail when they were innocent all throughout American history. Lots of blacks sentenced for crimes they didn't commit. I don't see you crying for all those innocent lives ruined.

Do you understand from the end of the civil war to today how many blacks have been treated like second class citizens by the cops and the courts? So yea, it's a little bit of a victory seeing a black man get off for murdering two people seeing as how for hundreds of years innocent black men were murdered or tossed in jail for crimes they didn't commit. Or just for looking at a white woman.

Because the guy was breaking the law? Doesn't give him the right to do what he did.

It was his job. Do you really want police treating us this way? You know one day someone could call 911 on you and you could be having a very bad day. That's usually when the cops are called when someone's having a bad day. Do you really want shoplifters murdered by the cops?

a seven year old black girl shot six times and killed while with her gangster father in a McDonald's drive thru in Chitown. No outrage from the blacks, none, her life wasn't valued at all, even her own father didn't recognize the risk, he's as much her killer as the folks who shot her. Sad day, black lives don't matter to you all, just don't, you can go on and on about the criminal Floyd and ignore the princess seven year old who had her whole life to shape ahead of her taken. You'll never get where I'm at. The only reason Floyd died is because of Floyd. Why was Chauvin there? why won't you answer?

BTW, did any lives get taken in Floyd's criminal career? you should really investigate that.

Yes, we wanted facts. We didn't just look at skin color like you did. It takes us longer since we need the evidence to come in. That is true

1. Not apples to apples.
2. If we could reform the gangs we would. We can reform the cops.

It doesn't matter that poor blacks in the ghetto are killing each other. In fact, how police treat blacks is a actual part of why blacks are so violent. You won't believe it so let me prove it. After the 60's riots the president put together a commission on why blacks are so upset. He kept the findings from the public. The problem? Lack of economic opportunity and police brutality.

he causes of the rioting ran deep. It was sparked by long-standing anger about police brutality and also by a sense of hopelessness about unemployment, poverty, bad schools, low rates of home ownership and poor social services, according to city officials and neighborhood leaders.

Released 50 years ago, the infamous report found that poverty and institutional racism were driving inner-city violence

Training doesn't prevent you from murdering someone like Chauvin did, brainiac. He proved what he was doing when they told him Floyd had no pulse and he stayed on his neck for more than two more minutes.

Proven: Chauvin was a murderer.

But you don't care about that, you just keep pumping the race angle because you're a racist. You've proven that. No one proved Chauvin was a racist though. All it took was you to look at skin color and declare his motivation. You did what racists always do, just look at skin color and determine your position from that
