What If Jesus Never Rose From The Dead?

The answer is, No. When Christ rose from the dead there was no bigger sign than that. Hundreds saw Jesus. It's why followers refused to deny Him even though it meant death not to.
And the disciples were given powers to perform miracles. They were for a sign for a time. To insure the Good News would not die out, because they wouldn't believe that Jesus was the Christ had He and His disciples not performed signs and wonders.
Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

WHERE is the proof that Noah was ever a real person?
WHERE is the proof that "the flood" ever happened?
WHERE is the proof that this god exists?

So far, there is none.

Almost every ancient culture tells a similar story about a big flood. Many of these ancient cultures have overlapping details in regard to the flood story, including things stated in the bible, which is pretty amazing. Also, there are lots of biblical claims that have been corroborated by archaeology or non-biblical sources. It sounds like you either haven't done much searching, or you're going to sources hostile to Christianity.

As for proof of God, you do realize that God is not a physical object, right? What kind of proof are you looking for? Do you believe in objective truth? Do you believe in an objective moral standard? Do you believe in the abstract objective laws of logic? All of those things are not man-made, they are rooted in God's nature.

Okay, let's look at that one.

Flood Stories, of course, are a race memory of the constant flooding that occurred at the end of the ice age. For instance, the "Black Sea" used to be a smaller fresh water lake until overflow from the Mediterranean Sea started flowing through the straights and flooding that basin. The North Sea used to be a grassy plain until the Ice Age ended. No doubt, ancient people remembered these events and made up stories about angry gods, but that doesn't make Yahweh and Noah any more true than Zeus and Deucalion.

Now, I was really trying to avoid this, but you have to realize that the Noah Story doesn't make a lick of sense.

Here are a bunch of ways you can prove God is imaginary.

I only asked the OP question because would Jesus still be remembered if He didn't rise from the dead, or would He just be another man who died on the cross and forgotten about?
.
however corrupt the 4th century christian bible made use of the itinerants death and misconstrued the 1st century message of liberation theology makes no difference for those adherents as long as they have something to worship whatever that might be.

as well to persecute and victimize whoever they see fit not conforming to their madeup religious doctrine.

Rising from the dead is not the singular pillar supporting Christians faith in Jesus the son of God. Try the proclamation that not one stone will remain standing, destruction of Israel, enslavement, disbursement of the Jewish people throughout Europe?

It’s important to understand the warning from Christ regarding the corruption of man and false Prophet’s. The crusades, inquisition, abuse and quest for absolute power by the Church are just a couple of issues that stand contrary to the teaching of Christ which serve as detractors.

Not really a hard prophecy to make..given the state of affairs in Roman-ruled Judea. There were dozens of Messiah's--most clamoring for revolution. To see that Rome would get fed up and apply the draconian solution to the problem was a no-brainer.

Edit: As I came to think about it, it occurs to me that the Romans are the only ones in history to successfully solve the 'Middle East problem'--and make it stick.
Food for thought?

1 Corinthians 15:14 answers the question of this thread.

But as you said, that's NOT the case. The reason early Christianity spread so rapidly around the world was because of the resurrection, because there were so many eyewitnesses. And many followers of Christ who were willing to die the most horrible torturous deaths rather than recant the Gospel.

Witnesses to the empty tomb?

Would Christianity still exist? (Thank the Lord He did btw.) I know it's kind of late after Easter to be asking this question, I'm just curious.
Reality: The world would still be under the covenant of the OLD LAW since the Christ never fulfilled the conditions thereof to usher in the New Testament Covenant of Grace. Jer. 31:31-34 would be unfulfilled.

Conclusion: Living under the old law would require animal sacrifice on an yearly basis in an attempt to hide our sins from God. We would strive to be righteous but unable to really even approach perfection without blemish on our souls.

"For the law (of Moses), having a shadow of the good things to come (complete salvation), and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they (those living under the Old Law) offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers (of the Old Law), once purified, would have no consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins." -- Hebrews 10:1-4

Without the "perfect sacrificial Lamb (Jesus)" having fulfilled the conditions of the LAW........the world would still be under penalty of death for their unforgiven sins. The world would be without hope eternal. And a world without hope would be a living hell. There would be no reward (eternal spiritual life) at the end of the race we call life....thus, our living hell would become our eternal hell.

Most important? Your hypothetical would make God a LIAR who has declared that this plan existed to sacrifice and raise Jesus from the grave before the world was formed. (1 Peter 1:20, 2 Tim. 1:9).

Do you also take the Revelation letter to the 7 churches literally?

Obviously the Bible contains different writing genres, and I take each book and verse in the way that the writer intended it to be taken. If you think the Gospels were not actual accounts of Jesus and his ministry, then you are mistaken, but if you're not a Christian then it's understandable that you think that way.

No, I was talking about eyewitnesses to Jesus, that he was alive and many people saw him after the resurrection.
.
do you have an etching made at the time for the exploit ... didn't you say last time he was hovering over the city tossing dollar bills to the crowd.

The New Testament and resulting transformation of the word from the chosen people (Old Testament) to the New Testament, inclusive of all, including the gentiles, was the wish of God, the very reason he sent Christ. The Old Testament prophets prophesied about the coming of the lamb of God, final sacrifice, the one to usher in the new beginning of mans salvation and relationship with God. The house of God, Temple, had once again fallen victim to corruption. Saul of Tarsus, a firm doubter of Christ’s teachings, a member of the Sanhedrin, devout Jew, highly educated in the Torah and scripture, came to realize the prophecy had been fulfilled through the birth and sacrifice of Christ for our sins as prophesied. On the road to Damascus through a vision of Christ understood it was not to be a warrior sent from God but a lamb, to be sacrificed, that it was Christ from the house of David. One is free to accept or reject the word of the Old and New Testament for to believe in God must come from your heart and be totally voluntary.

Ah, I was hoping someone would have covered this one!

To be more specific.......the hypothetical is addressed by the Apostle Paul in 1:Cor. 15:12-18. The world would be without hope doomed to an eternal hell on earth and after death because there would be no method to forgive the sins of those who have fallen asleep (dead).......all would be in VAIN. Humanity would be eternally under the rule of the god of this earth (SATAN) while living and doomed to the lake of everlasting fire for all eternity.

The scriptures reveal the truth. All Sinners are under the domain of Satan (Eph. 2:1-2, Col. 1:13). Thus if there were no GRACE allowed due to the sacrifice and resurrection of the Christ......mankind would be condemned to living and dying in their SIN.

Conclusion: In lay terms, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by Me." -- John 14:6

There is no other hypothetical conclusion that exists that leads to the forgiveness of sin and to the one route of eternal fellowship in Heaven with the Father, all other paths lead to destruction -- Matthew 7:13-14
