I just finished "Hour of the Assassin" by Matthew Quirk

I've never read any of his other books but I will after this one.

The scenarios are obviously fiction, but, I suspect the behind the scenes machinations are pretty accurate.
A good author uses enough facts to make a plot (story) plausible-

Prior to Hour of the Assassin I read "This Tender Land" by William Kent Krueger, so now, I have two new authors to draw from

This book is about 4 kids who escaped and Indian incarceration School in Lincoln Nebraska in 1932.
It didn't end the way I had hoped it would, but, it was informative about life in the midwest in 1932-

I don't read westerns with regularity anymore, but I do read them occasionally- I just finished this

The Trail's End- a Ralph Compton novel, by, E.L. Ripley- I don't get the "by" someone else, James Patterson does that as well and Robert B. Parker-

Anyway, this particular story is a murder mystery set in Idaho in a Quaker village- it's a goodun- a lot of twists and a surprise ending
