What Guess Will be Next?

I've always been fascinated at the times involved:

Dinosaurs died 65 million years ago.
Dinosaurs were around for over 160 million years.
Humans have been around for about 200,000 years.

see the logic.

Humans have been around for about 200,000 years.

That's the era we need to be concerned about. Humans evolved during a relatively cool period in earth's history and AGW believers would like to keep it that way. The real time period to look at is the last 200 years vs. the previous 200,000. Are we changing that climate? What happened during dinosaur times was very different and irrelevant to the current climatic situation.

Clearly they knew how to structure their economy to be sustainable.

Humans have been around for about 200,000 years.

And its been steadily downhill in this neighborhood ever since, too.

Well that's okay, though.

In the next generation or so we're going to invent our replacement species.

It will be a silcon based intelligent species.

Hopefully, they're keep our children around as amusing pets much like I keep my completely worthless, but highly amusing dog.

Yeah, I am not kidding.

This development is inevitable unless we accidently exterminate ourselves (or completely crash civilization) first.

Closest anology to the present ramp up is the PETM.
