CDZ What does Trump do that attracts the white lunatic fringe?

I am amazed at the following Trump has in the white power groups. His policies ARE more in line with their ideology than Bernie's were but I don't think they are enough so to gather this type of support.

As pointed out on here the words of his speeches allign in a similar way. Obviously Trump never says anything quite Klan worthy but he does talk about deportations and evil foreigners. Enough I would expect Klansmen to vote for him not Hillary but not enough to really excite the Klan.

Perhals as a pragmatist Donald is a little slow to denounce his strong hold there but obviously Trump does not support driving cars into counter protesters. To be fair, others are a little slow to denounce theid voting blocks also.

So what is it which excites the white power folks about Donald? Is it the WAY he talks? Donald seems like he would have trouble ordering a cheeseburger without sounding angry or snarky. Trump talks in extremes also. Using North Korea as an example I might have said, "Man, I don't want war, I just want to pay you North Koreans for making us cheap jeans or whatever but if you attack us I'm gonna have to level you all. Your choice." Donald is more aggressive though.

Any other ideas?

Did Trump have these racist groups to the White House....does he accept their support....? No. Did obama have the racist group, black lives matter to the White House and embrace them? Yes. Did obama sit in a racist church for 20 years and call jeremiah wright his good friend...since he married obama and michelle and baptized their children? Yes. Did obama have racist al sharpton to the White House?

Yes.

Of the two men, only obama has embraced and shown love to openly violent and racist groups.....

you should probably go back and look at the tapes of his rallies. he dog-whistled white supremacists for his entire campaign and since he took office.

• Because having established the unreliability of his words, Trump's actions speak louder and more honestly than do his words.
  • Andrew Anglin, editor of the neo-Nazi and white supremacist site Daily Stormer, noted, "When reporters were screaming at him about White Nationalism he just walked out of the room."
• Because he condemns the violence but not the white supremacist ideology, the mindset, that foments it.
  
• Because he is careful not to condemn them in earnest, instead uttering words of condemnation and then following them with various forms of "winks and nods" that temper his words, making them nothing but lip-service. Even white nationalists and white supremacists recognize the nature of Trump's remarks for what they are, insincere, and thus pay them no mind.

Just because David Duke says it doesn't make it true. You believe a member of the KKK because you want to believe him. That doesn't make it so.

I believe David Duke regarding his assertions about the behavior of white supremacists because he was the leader of what is arguably the most widespread and well known white supremacist group in the U.S. Thus, to the extent he's speaking about what such people, in general think and do, he's credible. That doesn't make him credible on everything -- credibility in one area does not grant one credibility in all areas...an economist is not credible on quantum physics, for instance -- but it makes him credible on that particular topic. That is why I believe him.
