What the Bible says About Being Male and Female
What the Bible says About Being Male and Female
The New York City Council recently passed a bill that allows New Yorkers to designate an “X” for their sex on their birth certificates if they don’t identify as either male or female. Additionally, a parent can do the same thing for their newborn children. The measure was passed by a vote of 41-6.
City Council Speaker Corey Johnson justified the action saying: “There are plenty of New Yorkers who don’t identify as either male or female. Gender is a spectrum for many folks, and it’s not a fixed thing. So for New Yorkers who are transgender, who are gender non-conforming, who are non-binary, to have an option to better self-identify on such an important document, their birth certificate, unlocks all sorts of things for them.”

Similar actions were taken by the States of Washington, Vermont, California, and Oregon, as well as the District of Columbia. The language of the Washington State directive is eye-popping, “a gender that is not exclusively male or female, including, but not limited to, intersex, agender, amalgagender, androgynous, bigender, demigender, female-to-male, genderfluid, genderqueer, male-to-female, neutrois, nonbinary, pangender, third sex, transgender, transsexual, Two Spirit, and unspecified.”1
The list is chilling, indicating just how far the revolutionaries are willing to go to remove any sense of limits. The enlightened will accept the changes. Only the dark reactionaries will reject them.
Although the temptation is real, these new classifications cannot be rejected as “just plain silly.” Nor can one take the libertarian attitude, claiming that government has no business telling people how they may define themselves. This thinking requires a response. The purpose of this article is to define five responses – legal, historical, scriptural, societal, and moral.
The legal response is the most complicated. Those who advocate these changes claim that it is a mere substitution of one word for another. This is a typical radical tactic; present a massive change as though it is trivial.
What Does Saint Thomas Say About Immigration?
Consider how one’s sex affects an individual’s dealing with the government or any other official entity. The radicals are now working hard to remove it from such actions as getting married and having children. One’s sex is still vital in determining all aspects of life. Any changes will radically affect getting into college, joining sports teams, deciding child custody, or enlisting in the military. The legal system has been bending over backward to attempt to accommodate those who call themselves homosexual. Chaos will erupt as each of these “genders” demands their own special set of legal “rights.”
Complicating the legal situation would be those who would wish to change their “gender.” Many of these terms have no legal definition – creating definitions is exclusionary. Would one “gender” entitle a person to a greater amount of legal protection? Would that person automatically lose the protections that attached themselves to their previous “gender?” The possibilities are endless.
The nature of such change is also important as part of the historical record. Today’s marriage licenses, drivers’ licenses, wills and other documents will become historical documents. Until now, they have accurately reflected the roles and numbers of men and women in our society. By taking away that factual information, and substituting a changeable opinion about the way that an individual wants to be known, that record will be permanently obscured.
Holy Scripture discusses the nature of humans as either male or female in at least four places:
  • Genesis 1:27 – And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.
  • Genesis 5:2 – He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
  • Matthew 19:4-5 – Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said: For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh.
  • Mark 10:6 – But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.
What does Saint Thomas Aquinas say about Marriage?
Note that the same words are used in all four places. Individuals are created as male or female. There is no room for any other reasonable interpretation.
Society is regulated by unwritten customs and by written codes of law. An individual who rejects a certain set of identifications will still need to interact with those who accept and embrace them. Customs and laws regulate how people treat those who are unlike themselves. By creating so many different conditions, most of which are not obvious, the already tenuous connections with each other grow more complicated. At best, there will be confusion; at worst, real violence could take place.
[like url=ReturnToOrder.org]
Finally, there is the moral dimension. Human beings have struggled with the morality of the relationships between male and female since Adam and Eve. Sexual morality and immorality are a constant source of contention in society. The moral rules, as outlined by Holy Mother Church, are relatively simple. The ways of breaking those rules make up a very long list, and each of them carries their own set of consequences.
Eventually, the plethora of “genders” will create so much confusion that society just breaks down. That will suit the revolutionaries because they will be standing at the ready to reassemble the pieces according to their own design.

Doubt you'll find anything about "genders" in the Bible. Wasn't until the character Radar on Mash the TV show that most Americans even THOUGHT about "gender".. Guess you'll have to look up Radar on Mash to get that humor... LOL...

The number of words and lessons in the Bible that must be overlooked to even get to something called "transgenderism" is incalculable...but that being said...if you want to change your gender for some kind of fad I would suggest you wait and really give it some serious thought...

Don't worry, remembering TV trivia like that is just a sign of not having enough real life stuff to do.

The "Statue Of Liberty" episode was a classic, though.

Teachings about Divorce
…11“Not everyone can accept this word,” He replied, “but only those to whom it has been given. 12For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” 13Then the little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

The Bible only discusses biological sex, not gender. There are many subjects it doesn't discuss.

Doubt you'll find anything about "genders" in the Bible. Wasn't until the character Radar on Mash the TV show that most Americans even THOUGHT about "gender".. Guess you'll have to look up Radar on Mash to get that humor... LOL...
No, I'm sure it was during Roman Times when that Monty Python guy said he wanted to be a woman...
you know when that Pontious Pilot guy said they hadn't got a "Woger!"

While you're at it, you might also want to look up the character “Klinger”.

I agree, but the Bible says "Male and Female" and I agree it is sick

The same bible also says that ,people can't eat fat Lev 3:17, can't eat pork Lev 11:7-8, can't eat shrimp or anything lacking fins or scales Deuteronomy 14:9-10, planting two different crops side by side Lev 19:19, wearing clothes made of mixed fabrics lev 19:19, cutting the hair on the sides of your head or clipping the edges of your beard Lev 19:27, tattoos Lev 19:28, can't work on the sabbath Exodus 35:2, supposedly the bible says that mixing meat with dairy is against God Exodus 23:19, so i hope you stayed away from cheeseburgers/whoppers or such.

Also the bible says a man can get away with rape by paying a girl's father some money and considering this is the metoo era, that passage comes across as very offensive.

Nothing. Transgenderism would not be a topic had the church not terrorize people who were naked, making all kinds of laws against it. The church causes the problem, complaining about it, trying to look righteous. Verily I say unto you. You will get your reward. You will not like it.

Don't worry, remembering TV trivia like that is just a sign of not having enough real life stuff to do.

The "Statue Of Liberty" episode was a classic, though.
Ever notice how "Radar" never allows a full shot of his left hand? Its because he suffers from birth defect.

Apparently you have "stayed away" from the Bible your entire life. You must "rightly divide the word of Truth"....i.e., the Holy Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:14-17)

That SAME BIBLE states very clearly without ambiguity that the passages you presented contained laws that were intended for and expressly reserved for the nation of Biblical Israel.

Its amazing when the BIGOTS attempt to teach lessons from the scriptures when they do not even comprehend the record found in scriptures contains information from 4 basic covenants between man and God. 1. The Noahic Covenant 2. The Abrahamic Covenant 3. The Mosaic Covenant and 4. The New Testament Covenant. The Bible is separated into 2 sections the Old Testament (or the Old Law) and the New Testament (or the New Law).

Today we are living under the New Testament Covenant and the laws that applied to the nation of Biblical Israel under the Mosaic Covenant do not apply to any GENTILE living today under the New Testament Covenant.

Example: The eating of meat is expressly allowed under the terms of the New Testament Covenant. -- 1 Tim. 4:1-3

The only laws carried forward from one covenant to the next were the eternally righteous laws such as the 10 commandments. Murder will always be a sin...etc. All the 10 commandments were carried forward into the New Testament Covenant save 1.........the command concerning the Sabbath as the Christian's sabbath comes after the race called life is over after death. (Colossians 2:16-17) Sabbath worship was nailed to the cross of Christ. Christians meet and brake bread on the 1st day of the week. (Acts 20:7)

Read be enlightened: It was prophesied that the Old Law would be replaced by a New Law (UNLIKE the old law delivered from Mt. Sinai) -- Jer. 31:31-34

The Old Law was expressly for Israel (the Hebrews).....not a single Gentile lived under the Old Law. -- Deut. 5:2-3

Jesus stated that the Old Law would last until all was fulfilled -- Matt. 5:17-18 Jesus' very purpose was to fulfill the requirement of the Old Law in order to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins -- Luke 24:44 CHRIST IS THE ENDING TO THE OLD LAW -- Romans 10:4

Have you ever gossiped, according to the bible, that is a sin. Leviticus 19:16

Also, have you ever divorced and remarried, that is a sin as well. Mark 10:11-12

I love it how people exercise their human rights and Republican godbotherers get their arse kicked.
Right wing authoritarianism is still searching for a home.

It's amazing how these Christian groups have lost their minds.

I mean i like remember back during the Reagan era i think most Christians back then were like that religion should stay out of government and public life.

But seems come after 9/11, all of a sudden, Christians are pushing for prayer in school and America to become a Christian nation.

When 20 or 30 years ago, when Christian groups weren't doing that at all.

There is also a bible verse about not helping the poor, but i wonder how many Christians went out of their way to try to give a homeless person some food.

It is implying that when you didn't try to give a homeless person food, that it is the same as not helping Jesus when he was hungry.
