So when you ask the question of what did the people want, you would see a nearly straight democratic streak.

1. Often, people don't truly understand what a person will do when elected, and change their minds when they see how they actually govern.

That is pretty much the issue right there. Most people really don't pay attention to politics. They vote based on 30 second sound bites they see on tv or hear on the radio near Election Day or preconceived biases they already have prior to the election. I think there is a really big disconnect between what voters think they are voting for and what they are actually voting for.

You can't go by the Presidents that are elected as an indication of what voters want. More often than not Presidents are made by voters voting against what they DON'T want. Others are voted in because they con the voters.

For example...Trump was elected because voters were past tired of corrupt, criminal, lying, Washington Insider, Deep State, POS politicians...
-- Hillary was all of those things and she ran at the wrong time. Trump was direct, crude, crass - he said things normal everyday Americans wanted to say...

Biden was proven to be a criminal and traitor while running, but the entire fake news media covered his ass....but...

Biden promised to be a Moderate who would bring the country together...after being sworn in he immediately proved he was nothing he promised...and the historically low poll numbers show the American people want nothing to do with the Socialism he's pushing now.
