In watching a lot of the posts and paying attention to many activists [groups] I don't see a lot of specific ideas being planted, but rather a lot of tearing up fields of established husbandry.

Politics is necessarily complex and yet also one of the necessary evils we must participate in... it proves itself as much a blessing as it does a curse, yet all too often the blessings are not as recognizable.

What? Happy people don't dance? Sing? Give praise to whatever higher powers they recognize? Sometimes the levels of appreciation we have here in America seems to only represented by the inflated hype we watch on our tellies which sometimes forgets to lie.

So, what specific changes would be better fitting than the systems we currently have in place? What would the board like to see in our future politicians. Perhaps the more specific we are the more likely we will get what we most wish for. Instead of sending up and out all the disagreeable signs, pushing our disappointments out to wander about... the runnings likened to a chaotic muck... Let's be more specific.

One of my hopes for a grand change to become established is that our hospitals become learning centers for the patients. Alternative medicines and such become less regulated by FDA but more studied and understood by mainstream. Pharmaceuticals and Specialists retain a higher rate of monetary value but only because they should gain the deserved respect their duties are designed to receive.

Mental institutions and such become (not unlike Hollywood's Xmen) intense educating facilities focused on breaking down the barriers of massive misunderstandings and training the outside world(s) to better access and utilize the inside world(s). For all levels of patients to have whatever levels of freedoms that are logically possible without becoming entrapped or ensnared by inhumane and uncivilized experiments/treatments. I hope to one day know that such a change will come about that instead of being treated for being born with different brain capacities, instead of being 'corrected' for knowing and understanding different frequencies we will ALL become better understood and adequately accepted
on the outside world(s) as we are needed to be on the inside world(s).

Of course, I could be more specific, and as time and provocation is provided I will become so, accordingly.

So, would anyone else like to share what specific changes they would like to see come about? Especially since so many seem so dissatisfied with the systems we already have in place. :eusa_whistle:

What? No suggestions, OODA_Loop? Perhaps there are some important points that Liberals make we should ALL be more considerate toward.

hmmm...I'd like to see...

1. Americans begin to embrace liberty again instead of looking for ways to use the government's monopoly on the use of force against their political enemies.

2. Toss out old tax code and write up a new one in plain english that makes sense.

3. The government get downsized dramatically. Everything that is not in Article 1 Section 8 should be dismantled or legally amended into the Constitution.

4. People should look to CEO's as inspirations instead of with such jealousy and envy, and be motivated and excited about their future which they themselves decide with their own talents.

5. Herman Cain was right about blacks being brainwashed by democrats. I would like to see the black and minority communities break out from the bonds of pretending they are the victims (propagated by democrats and social workers) and instead embrace their own lives and talents and work toward their dreams.

In the immediate future:
I want to see all programs to "help homeowners stay in their homes" dismantled. I want to see homes foreclosed and resold at pennies on the dollar to thrifty savers and investors. This will get the housing market back to balance and start improving the economy.
I want to see an end to "too big to fail" in all its manifestations. I want to see an end to any plan that involves the gov't takeover of any business. Bankruptcy court is where that belongs.
I want to see an end to regulation for the sake of regulation.
I want to see an end to ignoring "mens rea" as a factor in Federal criminal law
I want a rewrite of the federal law code to downgrade most of what is now a felony to a simple misdemeanor or no crime at all.
I want a simplified tax code that just about anyone could fill out.

I would like much stricter limitations on government assistance programs. Not abolish them, but make sure those that truly can not, recieve the help they need and those that will not receive the fruits of their labor.

I would like the laws of this country to actually be enforced. A police force that doesn't do it's job because there is too much lawbreaking is not improving the situation by allowing things to continue

I would like term limits on those government officials that don't have them. I would like a CBO that makes decisions based in the real world. I would like each government department to be subject to a yearly audit to gadge it's effectiveness in doling out and using the peoples money

I would like laws that are simpliar and cover a single issue so one vote and position is clear on that issue. I would like, for lack of a better term, a page limit on laws (1000+ pages for healthcare? Please)

I would like for government to stop telling me what to eat, what to drive, where to work, how to raise my children, were I may display my flag and were I am allowed to pray to my God of choice.

Economic parity for all Americans.

The removal of "money" from the political process.

We become a country that embraces science, technology and progress again.

We become a country that builds things again.

Bring soldiers home.

Initiate a SERIOUS partnership between "Universities, Government and Business" the way smart and successful countries do.

Put people to work on our decaying bridges, railroads, electrical grid.

Start building nuclear power plants in "stable" areas. Course, that would also take "scientists and engineers", which means "education".

Initiate a more realistic approach to the military. It was a "squad" that got Bin Laden and probably the rest of al Qaeda that's been "taken out", not a huge, ginormous army costing trillions of dollars.

Single payer option.

A fair and balanced tax code.

Make it against the law to teach "magical creation" in public schools and end that bullshit once and for all. If people want to hamstring their children, fine, but do it at home or in private schools. Tired of people trying to cram that fucking religious nonsense down my throat. If you want to believe in spooks, fine, but leave me and my kids the fuck alone.

So what stands in the way? A single political party with a fringe on top. A party that redistributed America's wealth to the tune of ten trillion from the military and the middle class to the top 3%.

Absolutely... Embracing the sciences and technologies should very well be our focus INSTEAD of tapping into so many of the fruits of other countries' labors... It isn't complete self-sufficiency that I hope to soon see, but rather a competitive force that I am confident as a country we could come to be. I don't believe we were meant to be limited by the sciences and technologies currently available, I believe we were meant to use them to boost our future abilities and successes.

I don't want to invite another cold war... BUT many things should be embraced that have always been... what they continue to be.

I would like to see a smaller more efficient government.
Get money out of the hands of all lobbyists.
New Tax code.
Get back to A Republic form of Government. Which is guaranteed to us in the Constitution.
Complete reform of our schools so that all of our children get a great education. No political ideology whatsoever. Just subjects.

Sounds like you love/hate the Republican Party.

1. Republicans using the legislature to suppress voters.

2. Republicans don't want the tax code touched. The top 3% are making money hand over fist. They've never been this rich.

3. You are wrong there. The countries with the best economies have the best economies precisely because government is involved. The whole "government is bad" thing is a lie. The only freedoms people don't have are the ones Republicans work to take away. Think of all the laws Republicans want to create to limit people's rights.

4. CEO's as "inspiration"? Now you've been drinking the Kool aid. The CEO's of Cigna and Aetna get paychecks of a hundred million dollars by skimming the insurance policies of millions of people. The companies don't even make anything. I'm not envious or jealous. I think they are disgusting pigs. They get all that money by figuring out ways to deny health care to sick people. They pay Republicans in office to pass laws so it's legal. I never thought I would see people look at them as "role models", but there is nothing the "let him die" crowd does that surprises me anymore. Not even when they wildly applaud executions. If those are your role models, then you've got what you want. But evil doesn't end well. It never has and never will.

5. The Republicans are the "Confederate Party". They have no good intentions towards blacks. This is worse than a lie. The co-founder of Black Entertainment Television, Sheila Crump Johnson, endorsed Virginia Republican Bob McDonnell for governor after he pursued her endorsement. Within a week of becoming Governor, he declared "Confederate History Month". She gave him money, organized fundraisers and endorsed him to the black community. Then he pissed all over her. She declared she was out of politics for good. Once burned, twice shy. Hope she reconsiders. Not all Republicans are dirty creeps. But the ones that aren't, are strangely silent.

I'd like to see FAIR TRADE policies enacted.

I'd like to see FREE Higher Education for returning veterans.

I'd like to see every young adult serve either in the military service or in some kind of national service system so every one of them was entitled to as much education as they can handle.

I'd like to see the FED become the PEOPLE's bank, instead of the BANSTERS' BANK.

At this stage of the recession I'd like to see some authentic WPA type responses to the deflationary economy we're in.

I'd like to see the WAr on Drugs ended entirely.

I'd like to see a fair percentage of all increases in productivity turned into shorter work weeks and better benefits for the working class.

And of course, I'm still waiting for those flying cars we were promised we would all be flying around by my Weekly Readers back in 1950s.

I'd like to see YOU get some kind of educaiton in economics and history so you don't continue to post stupid stuff.

rdean,

you make the mistake of assuming I am affiliated with a political party. You see, unlike you, I am not told what to think. I can look at the primary evidence and come to my own conclusions. People like you, on the other hand, would rather be spoon fed the conclusions and bypass critical thinking; a typical obama zombie. You see, people like you, while being absent in talent and jealous of those who use their talents to make welath, are also lazy in the mental department. Thus, you don't deserve empathy, charity, or anything except a jester's hat and a few balls to toss around so those of us who can see past our noses can laugh at. At least you will provide some use to humanity in that case...but we laugh at you not because of your fate, but because you choose to be that way.

1) I wish Americans would realize that their consumer choices have a tremendous effect on our nation as a whole.
2) I wish Americans would understand the enormous high cost of a cheap price.
3) I wish Americans held honor in high regard.
4) Ultimately - I wish Americans would stop being sheep and pigeons for a party that no longer represents them. (both)

1. Actually it doesn't.
2. Wait...cheap prices are bad? what?
3. Like who?
4. Sounds hypocritical to me...
