here's mine:

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Fairchild-Tech-Cheese-Knife-The/dp/B000FA00YG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1258456047&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: The Cheese Knife: Home & Garden[/ame]

this is one bad ass knife ! its made out of plastic ! and it chops cheese up instead of mashing it and sticking to it. its awesomely engineered - if you were to hold it in your hands you would never guess that it can actually cut anything - it is not even sharp. but it leaves my razor sharp chef's knife in the dust when it comes to cheese :)

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Henckels-Twin-Select-Kitchen-Shears/dp/B000BMFWZA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1258456351&sr=1-4]Amazon.com: J.A. Henckels Twin Select Kitchen Shears: Home & Garden[/ame]

these shears are beautiful to look at and work beautifully. and they're easy to clean thanks to their rounded shape. they SCREAM quality and style. i hate crappy scissors so when i saw these shears at Bed, Bath & Beyond i could not resist them and i am very happy that i got them :)

ps: i didn't get the knife on Amazon either.

You couldn't pay me to give this up:

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Henckels-Professional-Hollow-Santoku-Knife/dp/B0000632SS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1258606692&sr=1-1-fkmr1]Amazon.com: J A Henckels Professional "S" Hollow Santoku Knife 7": Kitchen & Dining[/ame]

I have a block full of individually picked pieces, but I use this way more than any of the others..

The essentials: Numero Uno is SHARP KNIVES. Then, I'm a huge fan of plastic lettuce knives. Pepper mill because I love that shit. A nice, smooth can opener. Cheese grater because I hate cheese product slices. The Onion Chopper has quickly become one of my favorites. Mine is actually from Hamilton Beach but the George Foreman-type machine is too convenient. A French press for loose leaf tea. Meat injector which doubles as a bread injector, a nice rubber/plastic brush for glazing things. and, finally, a bad ass microwave. These are essential.
