The Full Moon
So let's say there's this guy, American of course, named Jeb. Jeb lives with his average family in an average home on the suburban edge of a major American city. Jeb commutes to work every morning; he used to be a blue collar construction guy but due to a recent promotion (he took a degree over years of night school) now works in his company's HR office interviewing and hiring potential employees. Jeb is as solid a middle class American guy as you'll ever meet. His family wants for nothing and celebrates every major holiday with relish; large neighborhood cookouts are a trademark of Jeb's ample backyard.

Jeb has never been in trouble with the law. Hell, Jeb's never even had a speeding ticket and he's an honorably discharged Navy veteran. Jeb doesn't really hunt, isn't much of an outdoorsman, and he doesn't even particularly like guns. The thing about Jeb is he truly loves his family, he'd do anything to protect them, and he's a pretty resourceful kind of average guy. Oh yeah, the other thing about Jeb . . . he's politically neutral for the most part, voting most often for the best candidate rather than along strict party lines.

So what else is interesting about Jeb? Well, Jeb has a basement full of guns. Some guns he inherited from his WWII veteran grandfather, some he's storing for his father who had to go into an old folk's kennel, I mean home, and others he bought for the specific purpose of defending his family; yes . . . old Jeb owns more than one AR platform rifle. Oh my. NOT JEB! The last important tidbits about Jeb are his handiness with guns in general, both from the Navy and self-taught and Jeb seldom if ever goes to the range to shoot his guns; heck, Jeb never really even touches his guns at all, save for the one he keeps close to his bed at night, secured away from the children of course.

To sum old Jeb up . . . well . . . he's a responsible gun owner, not even close to a gun nut and he really doesn't think much about the guns he owns. Jeb's just too busy enjoying life and being a great husband, excellent father, and good, law abiding American citizen.

Now I must ask you all, about this fictional cat named Jeb, how are his guns . . . every last one of them super duper locked up and secured . . . a threat to any other American of any age?

How would the security of Jeb's family benefit from new gun laws that would only negatively effect legal gun owners such as our protagonist, Jeb? Remember, Jeb has always followed the law meaning any new gun laws would be followed by him to the letter, even if it came down to gun buybacks or confiscations . . . doesn't matter . . . Jeb would obey them; he's that kind of guy.

Mass shootings of people of any age are horrific; Jeb genuinely, sincerely cried all night over the Uvalde shooting. However, what does the murder of school children nearly two thousand miles away from Jeb's famous backyard have to with Jeb's private gun collection?

All you democratic party voters out and there and some of you republican fence sitters as well . . . do you really want to take Jeb's guns away from him, lessen his ability to defend is fabulous family or guilt him into giving them up? Really? Do you? And is that for the sake of the safety of the general public or . . . for political gain/victory?

Be kind to Jeb. Jeb makes simply heavenly smoked ribs in his simply ample suburban backyard.

In before the "race" baiters here declare that Jeb is "racist" because, well you know. ;)

4th of July is less than a month away, and you STILL haven't sent me an invitation, dude!

Sounds like Jeb doesn't really get much use out of them anyway.

Most folks on the left, would just say, he'll be amply compensated for all his guns at a buyback. Best hop on that. . .you know, while he can still get some money for them. Before they just take them away and, and fine him instead.

One day, soon, Jeb and 900,000 of his fellow Patriots will take those weapons and March on DC where they hit Ctl Alt Del twice and reboot the nation as per the instructions left by the Founders
