It only took a year for the U.S. to become the humorless dreary cliche of Russia. Holidays were a time for get togethers and St. Patrick's Day used to be a rowdy celebration and even minor stuff like Groundhog Day was a fun time but they are all gone. History is under attack, people fear being rounded up by federal agencies for demonstrating against the regime and Christians are forbidden to congregate. Nobody smiles on the street or at least you can't see them smile. Is it the new normal? Welcome to the socialist revolution.
