Don't harsh my zen, Jen!
Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said Sunday that she was "open" to implementing Sarah Palin's suggestion that all corporate income taxes be abolished.

"I propose to eliminate all federal corporate income tax," Palin had said in a speech to the tea party in Iowa Saturday. "This is how we create millions of high-paying jobs... To eliminate any loss of federal revenues from this tax cut, we eliminate corporate welfare and all the loopholes, and we eliminate all the bailouts."

"We could go that route," Bachmann told CBS' Bob Schieffer Sunday. "If we went that route then we'd have to have a fundamental restructuring of the tax code. I'm open to having that debate... What we do know is that the current corporate tax rate is killing job creation."

Yeah, I could believe that having corporations pay no taxes would create millions of new jobs!
But I said "could believe". The reason I'm skeptical:

Study says most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes

Being as most corporations already escape taxes, where are the jobs?

Also, as the Supreme Court declared the corporations are people, how can they legally be exempt from paying income taxes? Or do they suddenly not become people?

And if they are people who don't have to pay income taxes - then that should include us as well.

This is starting to make more and more sense. Yesh.

Do they REALLY not see that if they hoover all the money out of most of America, there will be no one left to pay for their products and/or services??

No jobs, profits. Shareholders are more important than jobs.

Corporations will have to deal with Obamacare and cap and tax which will cut into the bottom line.Do you think these two things will be helpful to the entities that hire people.
Why do anything in this country where the regulations and labor costs plus the attacks by the media put them behind companies in other countries.

Keep bashing the last few companies that are trying to make it here.
Unless you want what the President seems to want.
The only game in town where a job can be gotten is in government.... :(

The government is the party "hoovering" all the money out of America.

Better than kissing a socialists butt like obamaturds.

Obamaturd and the dimwits have been "hoovering money" from us since 2006. THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!

Actually most corporations do pay tax. So the argument they already dont is simply wrong.
The Obama Administration has been absolutely french kissing the ass of the unions this whole time. The Gibson raid was just one example. What have unions done to create jobs? The very opposite. We had a great steel, rail, and auto industry here and every one of them was killed by absurd union demands.

Bachmann said she was "open" to the debate. that doesn't mean she has announced a policy.

you do understand the concept that she went on a news program to make news about politics and therefore people are going to talk about it right?

This is why people like you who use these stupid little photos are worthless.
You dont even know when or how to use them.

Her numbers are tanking, but she still thinks she's "in it to win it". Sad, really.

Well, they do. Even if they don't pay the corporate tax due to accounting issues, they still pay taxes in other ways.

Their employees pay taxes.
Their executives pay taxes.
Their shareholders pay taxes on dividends and stock sales.
Their products generate sales taxes on the state and municipal levels.
They provide revenues, jobs and commerce further down the food chain with vendors, retailers, etc.

But only when Democrats are in charge do we act like they are doing something wrong.

They said the same about McCain at about this time.
