WEEK 9 of the 2016 NFL Football Season

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns
Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams
New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers
Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers
Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers
Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders
Buffalo Bills at Seattle Seahawks

7-6 last week and overall 71-48

Since this is the half way point (give or take) I will give my mid season predictions for teams who are in and who are out.

AFC East: Patriots: lock
Bills:possible wildcard
Dolphins and Jets: out

AFC West: Raiders, Broncos, Chiefs all have a shot with the loser getting the wild card, this weekend game b/w the Raiders and Broncos could be the deciding factor.
Chargers: out

AFC North:Steelers, depends on their QB situation but they are still the team to beat.
Ravens and Bengals: out
Browns: almost guaranteed the top draft pick and could very likely not win a game.

AFC South: Texans in: but Strangely the Titans are still in the hunt. Second place team in this division will not make the playoffs.
Colts and Jags: out.

NFC East: Cowboys: in
Out of the rest of this division, the Giants, Eagles and Redskins the top one of these three will most likely get the wildcard.

NFC West: Seattle: in
Cardinals: possible in which I mean an outside shot at a wildcard. Depends the loser of the NFC North and their record.
Rams and 49ers: out

NFC North: Vikings and Packers will battle to the end but I will pick the Vikings with the Packers with a possible wildcard depending on the Cardinals fate.
Lions and Bears: out

NFC South: Falcons: in
Buccaneers, Saints and Panthers: out

Your thoughts.....

I quit watching it as did millions over the disrespect shown our vets by certain team members.

Early games in:
I picked correctly:
Falcons over Bucs
Cowpies over Browns
Fish over Jets
Chefs over Jags

Missed:
Lions over Vikes in OT.
Ravens over Steelers
Giants over Eagles

These divisional games are hard to pick sometimes.

Eagles Empty Ending

The Eagles lost a hear-breaker to the Giants. On 3 occasions, the Eagles dramatically advanced up the field and to the Giants red zone and failed to score a touchdown. Their last play was a toss-up (though well-placed) into the unreachable arms of an Eagles receiver.

I agree...the Raiders dominated the offense line. They have some honking big ass dudes that can block. I can't remember seeing so many defensive players being pushed back and landing on their ass.

Oakland was my surprise pick in the early going...they ain't disappointing that prediction. While most of the so called "biggies" struggle Oakland is making their mark.

Lions won 4 out of the last 5 going into a bi week. Raiders Dallas and patriots look good right now. Who else?

The Steelers falling to the Ravens even keeps the Bengals alive. New England is in a total run away in their division. Oakland Raiders have four tough games in a row, if they can win 3 out of 4 they will be in good shape, it they falter then KC and Denver will be there to pick up the pieces. I don't know how the Texans do it but they keep winning, but the rest of their division sucks so I don't see them being beat out.
Well with both the Vikings and Packers falling, that division is totally up for grabs....can't image the Lions still in the hunt, but they are.
Seattle gained a two game lead in their division as all the teams in their division have to play in Seattle....should hold. Dallas is far and away the best team in their division. Atlanta better not be looking over their shoulder as the Saints seems to have gained some mo.

When playoff time comes around anything can happen. Remember a couple years ago when Seattle won their division with a losing record and went down to New Orleans, the defending Super Bowl champ and beat them. Shit happens.
