WE the people have a significant number of rights that should not be violated

Getting the checks out to taxpayers proved to be a plus for the economy.

The enactment of each round of payments coincided with a significant boost to personal income, as well as consumer spending, in that month. ...

The stimulus payments enacted under the CARES Act were estimated to have boosted the country's economic output by 0.6 percent in 2020, according to the Congressional Budget Office.May 14, 2021

Encourage Biden to do it monthly as a perpetual tax dollar refund ...... just keeps the economy moving. Tax dollars are generated by billions of tax payers which makes we citizens controlling managers.

Once again economic boost checks demonstrated that Taxpayers are the single most effective and legitimate investment on planet earth. WE have a right to our money instead of it being wasted on many sorts of corporate welfare especially the bailing out of corporations. Obviously the USA can afford monthly stimulus checks.

Citizens have a right to:
= Social Security Insurance
= Medicare for ALL Insurance
= Advanced Education for ALL
= job growth and/or entrepreneurship
= Maternity Leave
= Sustainable Living Wage if we want to reduce food assistance
= Safe Working Conditions
= Public Education backed with plenty of tutors for online education
= Clean Water
= Clean Air
= Cleaner Energy
= To Demand and Prosecute Inside Traders no matter what
= To Protect the US Postal Service
= To Prevent Take Over Of The Media by the Few
= Have A Right To Be Free of Politicians Forcing Their Private Agendas On All In America
= How about the right in keeping politics out of health care issues such as Pandemics ?
= The right to be free of voter suppression and expect voter suppression to be prosecuted.

Your water and air were made dirtier by your 0.6% increase in GDP. As for the USPS, I could do with them operating like the trashman and only coming once a week based on where you live. I only have two bills that I cannot take care of all online.

Your list looks like a template for socialism, doesn't it?
Looked like it to me. A Bernie or Yang primary voter, no doubt. Amazing how he started on line #1, with "rights that should not be violated" and somehow got "checks to taxpayers" on line #2 with no foreplay or anything.

Can you grasp the concept of a perpetual motion machine and why it doesn't work?

Apply that concept to the government.

I disagree.
No one is saying the government is the source of production and everyone realizes that government is a cost.
But government is worth its cost in terms of equitable outcome and abuse prevention.
For example, some sort of assurances people all equally get an opportunity to work and at equal pay for equal work.

Equitable outcome is forced tyranny. No government that uses force is worth anything.

Line #2 is just non-profit insurance companies.
How is that "checks to taxpayers"?

Why should insurance companies be able to demand such high profits?
Essentially is it extortion over fear of losing it all due to an injury or illness.
That is exactly the kind of group risk pooling society is supposed to do without demanding a profit.

That is silly because the main reason we want government is to pool force for us, like stopping bank robbers, invasion, monopolies, etc.
Since we create and control government, as long as we do our job, then government is a plus.
Without government, then all you have would be the forced tyranny of might makes right.

Every government uses force. It's part of what government is. The trick is to limit and control it very carefully.
Of course, the reply was in respect to equity of outcome and not in a broad brush.

Insurance companies? Stimulus checks? $600 per child per month?

Government has very limited and very strict uses.

The Constitution is actually a document that outlines the very limits of power that government can have. In many ways, it is far too liberal in that regard, but as of today, it is violated far more than adhered to.

The government does not exist to take from the productive and distribute that economic activity to others in some nonsensical attempt to generate exactly the same outcomes.

The very best (and often that goes too far) it can be said to have is that it [government] provides equality of opportunity. Never is it to be used to provide equality of outcome.
