Masks only serve 2 purposes.

One in that they keep the weak minded, easily scared, soft minded individuals feeling they are safe. It's like giving a teddy to a small child so they feel safe in the dark.

Two it allows control. A lot of people will wear a mask because they don't want to be signaled out or think others believe they aren't playing ball. Politicians want it because it allows them to exert control, and it also trains people to obey without thinking.

At the end of the day all masks do is delay the inevitable. If everyone wore a mask day and night it would take the world maybe 3 years to be completely infected, no masks it would happen in 1 year. They will lower your chances of getting it, but you're still going to get it at some point. Covid can't be stopped and it's dumb to think otherwise.
