What? If you have a source, a link that proves any of those protesters came armed and did so much as brandish a weapon, I'd like to see it. When the Rs handily regain the majority and they have the subpoena power again, they better demand records, texts, phone calls, emails, ALL OF IT so they can give Americans a clear picture of how those in control and responsible for security that day, behaved and whether they failed to act when there was clear intel that the protests could become violent. That's the real story here. The reality is that a few dozen protesters went overboard and caused some damage and assaulted some rent-a-cops and they SHOULD pay the price for that thuggery.

The evidence seems pretty clear that Trump offered 10-20 K national guardsmen to patrol the Capitol as a safety precaution. Muriel Bowser and Nancy P decided they weren't needed. There was enough chatter intercepted that the risks were clear and present and needed to be planned for. There were lots of FBI agents around as well and several of their informants took part in the protests and actually fomented violence but escaped even being arrested. ALL of these statements are factual. It's going to be interesting to watch most Democrats ignore the subpoenas and it will be even more fun to watch the FBI refuse to serve warrants or arrest them for contempt of Congress. Those on the Left will cheer that behavior on and laugh in the face of Republicans in Congress because they know there is a double standard where justice is concerned.

Every time they resort to such double standards, they weaken respect for the law and eventually, it's going to become damned difficult to wear a badge and try to push the "not the Democrats" around.
