Somehow my number fell into the hands of someone who moved from Colorado to Central northern Kansas and he is insisting that I travel to do his home remodeling on two bathrooms.
Told him that was too far for the size of the bathrooms he sent me videos of. He said NAME YOUR PRICE WE'VE SEEN YOUR WORK.
I was dumbfounded and told him I had to think about it and would call him back the next day.
Both bathrooms are maybe worth 2k max in labor so I sent him a bid for 7k and he pays expenses.
He immediately hired me. I was like WTF.... I bid them that way to keep from traveling.
We're supposed to meet later this week at one of my suppliers here for product selection and I'll know then if this dude is for real. Says he got my number from Angie's List but I haven't been active on Colorados Angie's List in about a decade. He also says he's going to pay for my hotel expenses at some casino on an Indian reservation.
Truly the strangest situation I've experienced in my line of work for at least a decade.
