a rising tide doesn't lift all boats. in fact, a rising tide, if it happens to quickly, will smash the smaller vessels.

if GDP goes up because Warren Buffet's income goes up, but everyone else's stagnates, the economy is not really doing well

As all these billionaires give to charities, they write off the same in taxes.
So, they after all are charitable but not so much as losing their principle assets.
Almost like they're using the US treasury for their "donations".
The piece is pretty accurate.

Yeah like how generous Bezos is. His fortune is around $150 billion and he gives about $150 million to charity. That’s .1% of his wealth. So generous.

And if he’s like Bill Gates, his charitable donations end up making him money.

Could be, IDK, when I'm rich enough to do that, I'll let you know.

If they were so "generous" with their $$$, why hasn't one walked into a food bank with a suitcase full of $$$, given it to the director................and walk away.

what i see around me is not capitalism, it's CAPTURE. the billionaires have CAPTURED our wealth. it's our money, and they have stolen it!

capitalism is a system of losers & losers...the losers who plunder our wealth, and the losers who have no wealth

we don't need their consent, we need to build people power to rein in these plutocrats

We can't blame it all on them. It is our representatives to Government who are delegated the social Power to enact laws, rules, and regulations as public Acts.

Billionaires generally take the chances and create markets and products we need and pay a living wage. Somehow the socialist left decided that they need to question whether billionaires are "good". Of course the pop-culture idiots who create labels for billionaires generally exempt hollywood and pop billionaire celebrities from criticism.

the American dream of equality of opportunity is a myth: a young American's life prospects are more dependent on the income and education of his parents than in any other advanced country. young people have one crucial decision to make in life: having the right parents. if they get it wrong, their prospects are bleak!

"If you've got a good enough business, if you have a monopoly newspaper, if you have a network television station — I'm talking of the past — you know, your idiot nephew could run it. And if you've got a really good business, it doesn't make any difference." - Warren Buffet

money is the root of all evil. it makes people more materialistic, more short-sighted, and more selfish

addressing income inequality would be easy, if only billionaires like Buffet butted out and stop interfering in our political system!
