Mexico has been receiving $36 Billion/year in remittances$$$ from illegal aliens in the US. In June of 2019, 2 big things happened regarding Mexico. Trump got a deal with Mexico, threatening the stoppage of trade, and Mexico complied with Trump's requests on illegal immigration. Mexico then ramped up its deportation program of Central Americans in Mexico, headed for the US.

The second big thing was the US Supreme Court's decision that Trump can continue his fast-track deportations, meaning he can deport asylum seekers who fail their initial screenings without allowing them to make their case to a judge.

All in all, Trump's ramped up deportation program got rid of 5 million illegal aliens, cutting the remittance loss in half (by $18 Billion) - $3 billion more than the estimated cost of the wall (and that's just from the 2019 deportations), and still doesn't include the money we gained in more remittance cutting, from Mexico's deportations of Central Americans. All told, we have actually profitted money from the wall.
