After weeks of public complaints that Wagnerites were not being supplied with vital ammunition and other supplies, Prigozhin admitted that Wagner would have to "reset and cut down its size" after the battle for Bakhmut.

Wagner is a very expensive way of waging warfare. War is stupid expensive to begin with...Wagner mercs are even more so....they over use munitions without precision and require excessive supplies. Then they have obviously used Russian poorly trained convicts as cannon fodder and are surprised when a few have survived more than 6 months...they had no plans for pardoning the intact prisoners. They had plans for pardoning the prisoners who had lost legs, eyes, and arms when in the hospital....but not active duty on the front lines.

On top of this....Wagner has upset the Russian Generals. Rubbing their nose in their failures. Of course Wagner has yet to achieve success in Bakhmut....and is "relaxing" their offensive due to a lack of cannon fodder and munitions.
