Voter Corruption

That pile of shit Trump & his GOP mob repealed the SALT deduction to stick it to blue states who's residents benefited the most from it.

Reinstating that deduction will actually reduce taxes for homeowners, dummy.
I know exactly what it does moron. It primarily helps wealthier homeowners in states like NY to offset their states ridiculous tax rates and pass it on to all federal taxpayers. If they want all the nonsense that causes their taxes to be so high, let them pay for it, not the feds in the form of a deduction.

Actually, it helps almost all homeowners in those states regardless of their personal wealth.
They contribute more to the federal coffers than red states and are being taxed twice on the same income.

If a public official uses his executive or legislative or regulatory discretion to promote people or companies or agencies, for the purpose of obtaining personal favors from that person, company, or agency, it is recognized and sometimes even prosecuted as "corruption." Quid pro quo, so to speak.

So imagine a voter who exercises her discretion (vote) for the purpose of reaping personal rewards (rather than for "better government"), such personal rewards being in the form of...
  • free food,
  • free healthcare,
  • subsidized housing,
  • protection from eviction for rent not paid,
  • free college,
  • cash benefits,
  • tax credits in the absence of tax payments,
  • and so forth...
is that vote fairly considered to be "corrupt"?

OF COURSE, it's corrupt! And what does one say about the politicians who promise to promote and provide the bulleted freebies in order to INDUCE the corrupt votes? They are worse than corrupt.

The result of this massive -corruption is that Republican candidates have to get a super majority of the non-corrupt votes in order to have any chance at winning the election.

And now we have voting initiatives that are intended to get the corrupt votes of people for whom (a) registering in advance to vote, (b) going to the polls, and (c) proving who you are at the polls are insurmountable obstacles.

And they throw out the "disparate impact" lie to accuse those who seek sanity in voting of being "racists."

We are now almost a whole day after the closing of the polls in Virginia and New Jersey, and we are still holding our breath in the hope that the Leftists will not be able to steal yet another couple of close elections.

It is all so tiring.
Do you take advantage of all the tax deductions, credits, and exemptions that you can on your tax returns?

Then you are a looter, too.

Rescinding it would reward the mega wealthy, allowing them to deduct the taxes on their McMansions in Aspen and Newport, dumbfuck.

I thought liberoidal gasbags like you wanted them to "pay their fair share".

You have to itemize deductions to claim the SALT deduction. Only 15% of taxpayers currently itemize due to the relatively high standard deductions. Guess who is far more likely to itemize? You guessed it, those with higher incomes and more deductions.

This is a gift to higher-income individuals or those that itemize and pay high property taxes. The fact is that blue states property taxes are exorbitant and the very taxpayers that vote for these high taxes want the SALT deduction to adjust their AGI. If you live in a lower tax state(red), you would have to live in a very nice home and/or have some nice cars to pay more than 10k in property tax. Why should every federal taxpayer across the nation have to foot the bill(less federal tax revenue) for those in blue states?

The money is not taxed twice, you just don't get the deduction to your AGI.

They don’t itemize because they cant claim state and local taxes

They don't itemize because the standard deduction is bigger, dope.

And the SALT limit only affects the wealthy and their McMansions....Why the fuck are you against the wealthy "paying their fair share"?
Sorry Skippy
But when you can no longer deduct your State and Local Taxes from income, you don’t meet the Standard Deduction

Sorry, but in my state of New Jersey, almost every homeowner will have State and Local Taxes above $10,000

Stupid, really stupid bastards wanna make this about the annoying orange because they literally have got nothing. Millionaires, billionaires regardless of politics have armies of lawyers and tax accountants whose sole purpose is to work the system. Shove your TDS up your ass. Taxation is theft, coerced mostly from middle income folks and having kids you can’t pay for is irresponsible and should not be subsidized with stolen money.
Hey, how's the weather down in Dallas? Check out the beef brisket. I hear it's the bomb.

Say hello to JFK JR. for me.

Contrary to Leftist dogma, EVERYONE does not vote in their own personal best interest. Republicans - even poor Republicans - vote against confiscatory tax increases for wealthy taxpayers, even though those provisions will never apply to them, and probably to no one that they personally know. They are unfair and unreasonable. And that's why they vote against them.

Republicans have bought in to trickle down ideology
If we take care of our wealthy, they will take care of us

And NEVER, EVER make the wealthy mad. They will take their money and run

How is that different from voting for candidates that promise tax cuts?
