Here's a fun sci-fi vignette about planetary dollars, something non-heist oriented to sign off for the New Year of great Coronavirus cure anticipations! Thanks for reading,

The Apocalypse, which saw a nuclear war and a great plague, was over and in Earth's past. The time was now the year 3000, and humans had left Earth in groups and colonized the faraway planet called Xanadu, outside the solar system. Xanadu was comprised of both rugged terrain and fierce volcanoes. Human colonies consisted of great lit up cities of wondrous technologies and UV protection on Xanadu.

Commander Hudson, female executive of NASA on Xanadu, published a book called Volcano, a treatise on the eruption consciousness created by volcanoes on planets inhabited by intelligent life. In her book, Hudson describes how the presence of a volcano reminds any sentient being of the tangible realism of pervasive violence.

NASA: "We believe Commander Hudson deserves the Nobel award for her contributions to fertility sci-fi!"

nasa1.jpg

In fact, the colonial layout of Xanadu was so impressive thanks to NASA's ambitions, there really was no worry of volcano driven extinction on the new planet for humanity. This was advanced thinking, and there were pockets of civilization gaming such as the Xanadu Olympics and purge and crime control initiatives such as the Anti-Terrorism Curfew, making Xanadu a home for great stellar dioramas!

ELFINE: "I've lived alongside the humans on Xanadu for ages, and I can't help but feel sorry for the men worrying about volcanoes."

nasa5.jpg

Well, despite the presence of these magnanimous volcanoes on Xanadu, life went on. The Apocalypse on Earth was transcended by humanity. Elfine and Commander Hudson and NASA and the human colonists on Xanadu shared in this new limelight of soft-glow traffic and crime control and game theory. It was a time of great conversations.

CAPTAIN ROGERS: "I work as a land troller for America on Xanadu, and I always worry about volcano dreams on this new planet!"

nasa6.jpg

Captain Rogers' wife, Eileen, however was not so optimistic. She was having an adulterous affair with a NASA officer who was not as immersed in volcano analysis on Xanadu, which honestly gave Eileen the creeps! You see, to women like Eileen on Xanadu, volcano paranoia got in the way of society magic on this new and arguably exciting planet.

No one knew ironically that Captain Rogers was actually the anonymous online sci-fi adult magazine editor and publisher/writer nicknamed Elmo. He published stories about female models serving as fertility nurses on Xanadu, for great stories about volcano violence amnesia. These online fanzines were great totems for human diversity.

nasa9.jpg

Captain Rogers ('Elmo') also published online pieces about the quality of Xanadu protective helmets and weaponry, used by humans (men and women alike!) to endure the harsh reality of volcano darkness and democracy wars on the new planet for humanity.

nasa11.jpg

Elmo's online fanzines inspired many provocative doctors, such as Japan's Jena Kawasaki, to give lectures at NASA about the state of affairs regarding humans interaction with non-humans on this planet of volcano diaries.

nasa12.jpg

ELMO: "A volcano is pure hell, and we humans ignore the fire and violence to remind ourselves of pure daylight."

nasa14.jpg

Whether or not Elmo (Captain Rogers) would be remembered as a planetary visionary, a new era Orson Welles, or a literary madman, a new age Salman Rushied, remained to be seen! What was certain was that Elmo was a religious person and interested in the concepts of human fertility and science-fiction writing on Xanadu, and he certainly wielded a certain 'astro-dome' flair.

ELMO: Living on a planet of volcanoes requires a serious focus on the transcendence of raw wish-destruction.

Nice sci-fi short. Enough elements, but not fleshed out in any way or point to story line.
