Usually June 1st things get on fire here
It’s already in the low 110s

Funny thing is that I am very “heat resistance “

115f this Wed is overwhelming for most but not me

Things really get even hotter in July and Aug as you have high heat in the pm

Then sometime in September: it all cools back to 90-95 ish

You think Vegas is hot !!! Well Phoenix is the next level and it’s already near 120 F
The heat in Vegas is usually early June to mid September
In Phoenix it can get blazing hot in may to early October . Also Phoenix has monsoons in August where you get high humidity

Sounds horrific.
It’s one of those things you either like or hate !!
You being from the Uk would freak out as you are used to a mild and wet climate !!
In Vegas : we get 4 inches of rain all year and I have not seen rain in months

Vegas is hotter than Death Valley and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Hmmm...gets a tad warm there. I don't like the humidity either.

After living there for awhile i began to crave rain....I would drive up to the mountainous area just to see some rain....the Mtns. leech out all the rain before it gets over the valley of Vegas.....however on rare occasions Vegas would have a flash flood...at least back then ...Ceasars Palace area would get flooded....cars would wash away.

I would ride my bike down into death valley....the lowest place on earth.....awesome scenery....there was a opera out that way...at least back then...ran by an eccentric lady....and then there was the little town of tecopa out there also....you could rent a cabin and get access to natural hot spring baths.

Also liked to visit the China Ranch date farm out that way.

Keep in mind that both of these locales were barely habitable before the invention of air conditioning.

Ponder that.

Now when people tell you that if the world's temperature goes up a couple notches it will be the End of the World.

In Duluth? Chicago? Pittsburgh?

Rest assured that money and technology will compensate for global warming, at least in developed countries like ours.

Have to do my morning walk even earlier now...leaving the dog at home because of the road heat.
