The federal government via the taxpayers, should not shoulder the financial burden of fertility treatments. Having children boils down to one's personal choice, it's not something that is required and because it is a personal choice and costly, the government should not be put in the position of covering the cost of a person's desire to have kids.

There is NO SUCH THING as "rights of happiness" stupid. Individuals have the Right to pursue Happiness- geezus h christ- and that coming from a uniformed person? Publicly Educated, no doubt about it.

"Getting denied her chance to have children" and blaming it on the VA? Surely you jest.
If she were a married heterosexual it would be covered. Do you understand what discrimination is??

That's the only appropriate and non -harmful situation in which to bring children into this world—into a family based on a man and a woman who are married to each other, and committed to their relationship to each other and to their respective responsibilities as a father and a mother.

To intentionally procreate children into any other environment is child abuse.

But then, in other ways as well as this, you are, and have always been, this forum's loudest advocate of this and much worse other forms of child abuse.

Say what? Veterans have enough problems in their old age and need all the support they can get for service incurred disabilities but I hope it doesn't include the problems lesbian Veterans might have to become pregnant by test tube.

Then you would also agree that heterosexual veterans are equally undeserving of reproductive assitence from the VA?
