USA allied to useless allies

Demilitarized Zone of Germany has nothing to send, anyway.

>>Germany has no problem selling weapons all around the world, including to the perpetually troubled, Taliban-supporting government in Pakistan and the dictatorship in Egypt.<<

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder is a chairman at state oil company Rosneft (ROSN.MM) and on the shareholders’ committee of Gazprom subsidiary Nord Stream.
Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl also sits on Rosneft’s board.
An ex-prime minister of France has links with petrochemical giant Sibur.
Such figures may well be lobbying against the harshest penalties for Russia and its already stagnating economy. All of which plays into Putin’s hands.

Germany is not actively selling weapons. German companies do. The government just approves the deals or not. As usual, the deals are made before the arms are produced. So we have nothing in stock, maybe some assault rifles but that´s it. What Ukraine needs is not more arms, they are more capable to defend their country than Germany would be, but a government that is willing to solve the problems with Russia. On the negotiation table. In Turkey. Whatever lying press is telling with thousands of articles per week, it is a simple fact that the Ukraine has been amassing troops at the border with the Republic Donetsk. That has been said by Russia and now by Donetsk. The Russian troops are there to prevent the war.

Germany’s chancellor, Olaf Scholz, is under pressure in Brussels to drop his objection to an EU military training mission in Ukraine, as Berlin faces heavy criticism at home and abroad over its approach to Russia. (...)

Officials at the EU’s foreign affairs wing, the external action service, are expected to make further efforts in the coming weeks to convince Berlin to give the green light. Italy, Spain, Austria and Greece are among those who also oppose the proposal, according to EU sources.

Such EU training missions to build up armies have previously been established in Mali and Somalia.

Yes, all those hard drives and files that were removed from bin Laden's home after his head was blown half off, were invaluable, is my guess.
