US Unaware Iran Leading Iraq Fight for Tikrit

I guess it doesn't matter to you that Obama gave up all those territories gained by the blood and toil of US forces,

You mean, "gained by illegal invasions", but thanks for trying.
So have Iranian forces "legally invaded" Lebanon and Iraq then? Ha ha ha.

You have failed to show any evidence of any invasions.

I have? Iranian goons aren't in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon? What are you smoking, IndoFART?

I have? Iranian goons aren't in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon?

I didn't say there were no Iranian forces there, just they have not invaded.
You have yet to explain why Iraq was on your list when the US backed Saddam attacked Iran, and Iranian troops are there at the request of the new Iranian government in order to fight the US armed and trained ISIS.

A headline that highlights Bush 43's true failure in Iraq;

Sites in Tikrit never reached by security forces since 2003 now under control, says Hashd al-Sha’bi leader March 8, 2015 by Abdelhak Mamoun

.
(IraqiNews.com) The leader of the Volunteer Forces (al-Hashd al-Sha’bi), Jabbar al-Mamori announced Sunday, that his elements, the security forces and tribal fighters have advanced about 20 km from the intersection of Zerga toward al-Alam district east of Tikrit, referring to the control over the ISIS sites that have not been reached by the security forces since 2003.

Knowing that Bush agreed to pull all US troops out of Iraq Cities by June 2009, it has become apparent that al Qaeda and now ISIL had a safe haven in Iraq cities like Tikrit when he agreed to pull those US troops out.

ISIS was there all this time and Bush43 tied Obama's hands to do anything about. More Bush43 failure on Iraq.

The terrorists are being driven out on Obama's watch. When will the haters begin to recognize that?

Iranian goons aren't in Iraq,

When invited in by a sovereign government it is not an invasion. Just like American advisers and pilots are not invaders into Iraq.

Iraq has a sovereign right to choose its allies and what they are to do inside Iraqi territory. After the WMD justification for the invasion fell apart Bush got 4484 Americans killed to put up a Shiite dominated Iran friendly government. And now cons are blaming Obama for Iraq being friendly with Iran.

This desperate attempt to now discredit the generals is pretty pathetic, I have to say.

Why is pointing out that General Odierno did not support US troops staying in Iraq after the Bush SOFA deadline unless the Iraqis wanted them and granted them immunity, discrediting the General. It discredits you is what it does.

You are either a liar and propagandist or, ignorant and delusional.

Key general: Iraq pullout plan a ‘disaster’
President Obama’s decision to pull all U.S. forces out of Iraq by Dec. 31 is an “absolute disaster” that puts the burgeoning Arab democracy at risk of an Iranian “strangling,” said an architect of the 2007 troop surge that turned around a losing war.

Retired Army Gen. John M. Keane was at the forefront of persuading President George W. Bush to scuttle a static counterinsurgency strategy and replace it with 30,000 reinforcements and a more activist, street-by-street counterterrorism tactic.

Today, even with that strategy producing a huge drop in daily attacks, Gen. Keane bluntly told The Washington Times that the United States again is losing.

“I think it’s an absolute disaster,” said Gen. Keane, who advised Gen. David H. Petraeus when he was top Iraq commander. “We won the war in Iraq, and we’re now losing the peace.”

First General Keane needs to disclose everything he gets a paycheck for since his retirement.

.
Keane has appeared on Fox News at least nine times over the last two months to promote the idea that the best way to stop IS is through military action—in particular, through air strikes deep into IS-held territory. In one of the only congressional hearings about IS over the summer, Keane was there to testify and call for more American military engagement. On Wednesday evening, Keane declared President Obama's speech on defeating IS insufficient, arguing that a bolder strategy is necessary. "I truly believe we need to put special operation forces in there," he told host Megyn Kelly.

Left unsaid during his media appearances (and left unmentioned on his congressional witnessdisclosure form) are Keane's other gigs: as special adviser to Academi, the contractor formerly known as Blackwater; as a board member to tank and aircraft manufacturer General Dynamics; a "venture partner" to SCP Partners, an investment firm that partners with defense contractors, including XVionics, an "operations management decision support system" company used in Air Force drone training; and as president of his own consulting firm, GSI LLC.

To portray Keane as simply a think tank leader and a former military official, as the media have done, obscures a fairly lucrative career in the contracting world. For the General Dynamics role alone, Keane has been paid a six-figure salary in cash and stock options since he joined the firm in 2004; last year, General Dynamics paid him $258,006.

Who s Paying the Pro-War Pundits The Nation

Keane's agony and anguish against the current CinC as a retired general and Fox News analyst is not supportable to fabricate an argument in hindsight for keeping troops in Iraq after January 1, 2012. One of the consequences of Iraq's political situation in 2011 was that the Iraqi government could not and would not allow us to stay. There was no political majority faction that would even consider an extension of the immunity that expired in 2012.

Keane being retired since 2003 leaves him out of the chain of command in 2011 so he did not bother to concern himself with immunity for our troops or what the Iraqis were willing to do. All active duty generals went on record opposing troops staying without immunity.

As it is with you Roudy and apparently Retired General Keane you cannot be bothered by such issues that protect the lives and well being of our troops had they stayed in Iraq after 2011. Obama was right to be concerned for them.

Key general: Iraq pullout plan a ‘disaster’

Keane retired in 2003. He was not a key general in 2011. Odierno was a key general at the time of the pullout from a iraq in December 2011.

And Keane's advice to put combat troops back in Iraq is turning out to be a bad idea:

Iraqi forces make advances against Islamic State near Tikrit - The Washington Post

No Americans need to die on the ground in a combat role to defend Iraq. Obama was right. Keane was wrong.

e are not the ones butchering and beheading our own right now are we....................

Well, errrr, maybe

U.S. Memo Outlines Rationale for Drone Strikes on Citizens - WSJ

Of course, you have a constitution that insists on the right to a fair trial - unless you don't fancy having one.
The battlefield is not a court room........

Even if you claim that man was killed because he committed, or intended to commit a crime you don't believe the constitution should cover, how about his son, Abdulrahman Anwar al-Awlaki, who had no charges against him, but was murdered by the CIA anyway?

Should the drone operators and their commanders be sent to trial for his murder?
I believe they should.

. We were surprised by Iranians leading Iraqi troops to try to retake Tikrit?

We were not surprised. You need to apologize to our men and women in the military and the intelligence community for saying something not true about them.
