US Soccer reaches agreement to pay its women's and men's teams equally

Giving into woke shit.

Of course who gives a crap about soccer anyhow? Dumb boring game with homo women and sissy bois.

What have we been telling you about replacement theory?

White men just can’t get a break

Looks like a transfer of money from black, brown, mixed men (some white) to white women. You are the dumbest poster here.

Who would think women should be paid as much as men?

Just because they actually win?

Winning doesn't bring in the same prize money though. A women's team could get much further along and still bank a lot less money than the men's team. The only real big change here is that all the world cup money will be pooled and then split evenly between the two teams. FIFA is the problem, not US Soccer.

They should paid based on the revenue they bring in minus expenses. As I understand it they women play a heck of a lot more matches and friendlies because they kinda have to. They can't make a living playing professionally. The men all play professionally and make a very good income.

Now during the actual World Cup could the women actually out earn the men relative to eyeballs watching, sure if the men tank early and the women play more matches into the finals. But seriously if the Men are playing a match at the same time as the women or during the WC in general the Men outdraw the Women significantly. There is a reason there is no profitable professional women's soccer league.

Your party has said A LOT about replacing the white population. Many threads exist even here at USMB where your side happily cheers it on, specifically to make people mad. Apparently all that hard work is finally starting to pay off.

Its not a FIFA issue. They are shit but this isnt their fault. The amount of cash is small they should jut pay it and move on.

Sad but true.

LOL The gender pay gap for the FIFA World Cup is US$370 million. It’s time for equity

The winner of the Women’s World Cup on July 7 will take home more than just a trophy – there’s also US$4 million in prize money at stake, more than double the amount the US women’s team won at the previous World Cup in 2015.

Compare this to what the winner of the men’s World Cup pocketed in 2018, however: the French team earned US$38 million for that victory.

As play gets under way at the Women’s World Cup, much attention is being focused on the enormous gender gap between the two tournaments. It’s not just the winners who are disproportionately underpaid – it’s all the teams and players, and even their professional clubs.

And tall people are paid way more than short people are to play pro basketball.

I cant see how this relates to their pay. Prize money is not pay and it goes to the association.

US Soccer handles it differently than the brits I guess. Our players get bonuses based on their prize money. Now those bonuses will be made evenly between men and women on their pooled cut.

It sounds like. Why dont they just pay them more ?

Professional Soccer is not as big of a deal here in the US as it is in the UK other than in a few larger cities, and even then it is not a big money maker at the gate. As a result, salaries vary wildly. Women's teams are even worse performers. It is still relatively young compared to most professional sports here--maybe 30 years since the first started really getting going. Even below the professional staples of football, baseball and basketball, we have a massive collegiate sports system that draws in huge crowds. Professional soccer just hasn't made a lot of progress elbowing its way through a crowded field as far as fans save a few left-wing cities.

Womens football is growing in popularity here but I admit I have little interest in it.

Its been taken up by the bigger clubs and they run it at a loss. They must see a future in it or they wouldnt waste their money.
