US Navy members blocked from getting Fox News

MSNBC is arguable more similar to AJ than FNX is

All three are news/opinion outlets. Fox is the only one of the three that actively encourages violence and rebellion. It also has a lot more partisan spin than the other 2.

AJ, however, has a bad reputation for being willing to air material Americans don't want to see

Who told you that??

Members of the U.S. Navy were denied access to FoxNews.com for hours on Friday before service was finally restored shortly before noon ET, the Navy confirmed.

Cdr. Danny Hernandez, a Navy spokesman, said he was unable to offer an exact reason why access to Fox News' Web site had been blocked, but he said it most definitely was a technical issue.

The article has been updated since it was originally put up.

Honestly, folks, pay attention to what you do. This deliberate obtuseness on both sides only makes for irritation and plague on both your house.

Navy had a tech issue. Righties get all wound up.

Fox updates the page, lefties go Neeneer illiterates.

rational folks want to wash their hands of both of you.

There you have it, a glitch for a few hours.

Are people still living the fantasy that Socialists/Progressives believe in Free Speech? Well snap out of it if you're still living that fantasy. No Socialists on this Earth believe in and support Free Speech. This is just another sad example. However i did hear that this has been corrected. Fox News is now available once again to our Navy service members. This just shows that you can never get lazy and that you have to always be on top of the Socialists. They will always try to slip this kind of stuff in if you're not paying attention. It is very sad but it is what it is.

Try reading the first part of the article before the bs excuses.

I quess the OP didnt read the article

did he say how long it would take to clear up this technical issue in communist Navyland?

Hmm could this be linked to the teabaggers move into the military?

Preventing subversion of military personnel is part of the military's job.

Umm and btw you are govt property in the service and do not have full rights.

And felons, etc.

You don't think the unpopularity of the Iraq war has anything to do with it do you?
And the extending of enlistment terms?
And several other things I can't thiink of right now?

You have always been basically property in the military with very limmited rights.
Actually they have it better in that regards than ever before.
I am sure cutting off Fox will drop their enlistment :eusa_whistle:

Obama is the commander of the entire Navy including IT department.

I really think any talking head that runs down Obama should not be available to the armed forces personnel. Same for any president. It cannot be good for troop moralle.

They should get the news with no slant or commentary.

From the fox news site.

Fox News received e-mails from Navy personnel around the world on Friday complaining that they could not gain access to the Web site. They said they were able to view numerous other news Web sites.

When they tried to access FoxNews.com, the following message appeared: "Access to this site has been denied in accordance with Navy policy to safeguard the security posture and/or to maintain the operational integrity of the NMCI."

Since blocks of web sites is done by DNS number, it is likely some low level clerk was given a bunch of numbers to key into the browser security deal, and most likely transposed one.
To be deny our military such fair and balance news has got to be a conspiracy.
