Your graph shows the US spiked during the strict lockdown measures, and has leveled off after largely being lifted. You also conveniently left out the death totals, where Europe is higher than the US, despite us supposedly having more cases.

Europe is also no closer to “beating the virus” as they are still on strict lockdowns. As soon as they lift them, cases spike. The only way to get past the virus is herd immunity, which clearly the US is closer to reaching than Europe. Months from now when the young working class of America are immune and all back to work, the Europeans will still be hiding in their basements, with their economy shattered.

When you have 40% of the populace existing within an ideological news & information bubble that has convinced them that the threat of the virus is overblown and some political conspiracy, and a President who is trying desperately to keep them happy, you know you're not dealing with the problem at an optimal level.
