Inaugural US-Kazakhstan Convention Takes Places in Washington

On December 11, the first US-Kazakhstan Convention took place in Washington, D.C., focusing on the strategic partnership and relations between the two nations. The event, which was sponsored by the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Turkic American Alliance, brought together Members of the US Congress, US Administration Officials, Members of the Kazakh Parliament, business leaders from both countries, think-tank leaders, and US and Kazakh citizens to discuss the growth of the US-Kazakh relationship and plans for the future.

Ambassador KairatUmarov, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the United States, opened the event, welcoming the attendees and distinguished guests. Over a dozen Members of Congress spoke at the convention, with many highlighting the deepening partnership between the two countries and the importance of strengthening the partnership, as well as sharing their own personal connections to Kazakhstan.
