among those killed was viktor reznov, soviet war hero who lead the attack on the reichstag in 1945, Most of the political prisoners from Baltic states who were there for literally nothing, telling some joke, or purely being class enemies - were usually given a vague sentence of "the batrayal of the motherland". Many of supposed :traitors: had pending appellations stating essentially the following: "HOW COULD I BETRAY A SUPPOSED MOTHERLAND, IF I WAS NOT EVEN A CITIZEN OF USSR AT THE TIME?"
