Liberals love to tout their economic policies' "success" despite the fact that the data do not support their narrative. Indeed, under President Obama, the US has plummeted on the Economic Freedom index to its worst score in history, according to a new study by the Heritage Foundation.

The US has fallen from 6th to 11th place in the economic freedom ranking, indicating that expanding government, welfare, healthcare, regulations, subsidies and more have taken a costly toll on the nation. CNSNews
reports on some of the costly measures the US has suffered since 2009:

Government spending has exploded, amounting to $29,867 per household in 2015.
The national debt has risen to $125,000 for every tax-filing household in America—a total over $18 trillion.
The government takeover of health care is raising prices and disrupting markets.
Bailouts and new government regulations have increased uncertainty, stifling investment and job creation.

The index proves how America's economic freedom is declining at a rapid pace in just a few of the following ways:

I should think that the large corps,(after paying hefty CEO salaries) should pay more than small businesses but apparently not: Gee lowering it they'd be tax free, just like what happened in Greece.
Yes starting a business in the US is harder due to the greed at the top, a small Mom and Pop shop can barely squeak by.
(Not sure what freedoms your missing out on, but I feel just as free)

But there is another source of federal revenues that receives less attention: corporate income taxes. According to the Wall Street Journal’s recent study of Congressional Budget Office numbers, corporations are paying an effective rate of 12.1%, the lowest in at least 40 years. So why are some of the biggest and most powerful entities in our society getting away with paying so little? The story is complicated, but the biggest factor in the recent collapse in corporate tax receipts appears to be a set of tax breaks built into recent stimulus efforts.

In 2010 and 2011, companies were allowed to deduct the full cost of the purchases of new equipment, while normally these costs would be expensed over several years. In 2012, this deduction will go down to 50% and be eliminated altogether thereafter, causing the effective tax rate to return to roughly the 25.6% average effective tax rate corporations paid since the late 1980s, according

Of course that 25.6% number is still quite a bit lower than the nominal tax rate of 35%, the highest in the world behind only Japan. So why aren’t corporations paying what the law says they should? Certainly, some are. According to Howard Barnet, a tax attorney with Carter Ledyard & Milburn, it all depends on what kind of corporation you are. He says that large, multinational corporations have many more strategies available to them to reduce tax burdens than smaller, domestic firms do. Pile on top of that all the tax goodies that politicians like to lavish on their favorite industries like tech, manufacturing, and real estate and, “it’s a small subset of domestic companies left holding the bag,” Barnet says.

The Effective Corporate Tax Rate is at 12.1%, the lowest in 40 years

The Heritage Foundation wants another war in the ME.

I am fascinated------There is an ongoing war in THE ME. Just how do you imagine that the Heritage Foundation is involved?
I said "another war". Read more carefully and begin with the Heritage Foundation.

Ok----just how is "the heritage foundation" supporting "another war"?----OR ---
what makes you say that it WANTS another war?. I do contend that there IS a
raging war in the Middle East------and it is MOVING along----to the extent that
the US will be unable to STAY OUT of it

Whenever anyone, and especially on the right, says we are losing our 'freedom', raise your feet high for the BS is coming.

"This is when the Republican Party set its trap. Meeting in closed sessions at the beginning of the Obama regime, the party of tax cuts for the rich, unfunded wars, and the largest deficit in the history of the country redefined itself. It suddenly became the party of deficit reduction through lean government joined to supreme confidence in unregulated financial and corporate markets. It even opposed the bail out of General Motors and Chrysler, though these actions stopped unemployment from reaching a dangerous tipping point, allowed the two companies time to reconstruct themselves, and enabled them to pay back the loans within two years–-creating one of the most successful bailouts in the history of Euro-American economic life." William E. Connolly See The Contemporary Condition: The Republican Pincer Machine

We can't trust the Heritage Foundation, it is far right leaning..

It does describe itself as "conservative"-------at least it is HONEST about that.
Lots of people in the USA are "conservative" Some people who describe
themselves as "conservative" (in fact a significant proportion) tend to be
ISOLATIONIST--------and "socialism-o-phobic" )

the "freedom" part-------seems to me to be the LOSS OF RUGGED INDIVIDUALISM -----the kind in which the man with the two six shooters
on his belt--------with the fastest hand------RULES THE TOWN

Ok----just how is "the heritage foundation" supporting "another war"?----OR ---
what makes you say that it WANTS another war?. I do contend that there IS a
raging war in the Middle East------and it is MOVING along----to the extent that
the US will be unable to STAY OUT of it
So you want to expand the current conflict in Syria and Iraq into another, larger war with scores of thousands of troops.

Thanks for being honest.

I did not come close to saying that I WANT. I stated facts about the
ONGOING WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST-------It is my OPINION that Iran
is getting on SAUDI ARABIA--------we have military bases in Saudi Arabia----
I did not put them there------the elected leaders of the USA put them there---
Nor do I determine Iranian policy and actions-----ayatoilets do that. I am very
honest. I wish that the Military of Iran would COUP----the Ayatoilets before
they PROCEED with their filth. (btw---the Iranian ayatoilets have TOLD US
ABOUT THEIR IMPERIALIST AMBITIONS-------I am not guessing just as so many
people in the 1930s were not "guessing" about the ambitions of your hero,
adolf)

You are the one who parallels Adolf,

No the circumstances do not mandate a major increase in the war.
