Uncanny Accuracy of the Bible!

Take a look at Genesis. It tells us the earth was created in a firey turbulence and it gradually cooled. as it cooled the clouds formed, then the seas. from the seas, came the first life, fish. Followed by the birds, Then came man. The bible tells us exactly what sciience tells us today about how the earth was created. even the order is right. only the bible told us this thousands of years before science even validated their theories.

It also provides us with two different versions of how man was created! :eusa_eh:

Let's see: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void
"
Where's the "firey turbulance and cooling????

"Let there be light: and there was light. ... and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night." So light, without a source, and darkness as a separate thing and the two are divided. Do you really think that's an accurate depiciton?

"Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament ...And God called the firmament Heaven"
What is this "firmament?" In some tranlations it's a "dome." And what are the "waters above?" And this certainly implies Heaven as a physical place. Do you regard that depiction as accurate?

And then on the 3rd day, plants were created giving seed. And on the 4th day 2 lights, set in the firmament, were created...presumably the sun and the moon, though the moon is not really a light.

And in the creation of fish and birds, whales are included as fish.

Seriously, you think this is an accurate depiction? Even without the Theory of Evolution, common sense and observation show us this just isn't reality.

1. Amazing how closely the first chapter of the Old Testament conforms to current scientific understanding of the origins of the earth. First “Let there be light…” Big Bang…explosion….energy….light.

a. “The formation of the sea as well as the land is chosen as the second stage in the creation on the Bible’s first page. Modern science reveals that land and sea certainly were in place before the next stage in the scientific account of the history of the universe.” Parker, “The Genesis Enigma,” p.54. What a coincidence….or confluence.

b. Fossils of cyanobacteria as old as 3,600 million years old have been found, early bacterium evolving a molecule that could use the energy of the sun’s rays to gain electrons from water: it could ‘photosynthesize.’ And the life mentioned next in Genesis? Grass, herbs and fruit trees are plants.

2. Problem: if there was light “in the beginning,” why is the sun specified again later?

a. Genesis 14-19: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day

the part that i find the most amazing is this was all written before science even found ways to validate their theories

Uncanny Accuracy of the Bible!
They also found the ruins of Troy, believed to be mythical. Does this mean there's some other truths in the Illiad?

some things scream out to be repeated

:clap2:

I think the Bible also mentions 7 Days a Week. Maybe God is a fan of The Beatles?

:laugh2:

Let there be light = sunrise. Why? because like you say this was before science as we know it. The Bible does not say 'Kapow!' or 'Shazzam!' it mentions light. What about FIRE? The people who wrote the Bible considered women unclean too. They had no refrigeration so they had food taboos too. Imagine that? Or maybe, maybe...we can make more shit up?

Heaven was above the Earth. LOL Think they would have gotten the basics right before they tackled the more complicated stuff?
