The Ukrainian government should tweak its response to the Russian invasion; media reports are that the Ukrainian government is prohibiting abled bodied Ukrainian men from the age of 18 to 60 from leaving the country because they may be needed to fight in the Ukrainian/Russian war that has commenced this week. This is bad and wrongful and counterproductive policy by the Ukrainian government let these Ukrainian men that want to leave now leave they are no good for the Ukrainian cause to stop the Russian invasion. Most of these Ukrainian men that want to leave now are depraved in the area of patriotism and bravery which makes them liabilities in Ukrainian defensive efforts you put these weak character men on the front lines and they will not fight or flee when the Russians attack and their cowardness will get other good Ukrainians killed or taken prisoner. These weak character men if they are picked up by the Russian Army pose a high risk of singing like canaries so providing the Russians with intelligence that will get good Ukrainians killed. The Ukrainian government shouldn't try to stop these weak character men from leaving, let them leave wish them luck, it is good to get rid of them if they remain they pose a risk to helping the Russians!
Social media and the news media are full of commentary of people throughout the world really impressed with the patriotism and courage of ordinary Ukrainian citizens in regards to this Russian aggression threat. Most members of a civilian population consider themselves powerless not you Ukrainians so many of you folks consider yourself Ukrainian soldiers even though you never served in the Ukrainian armed forces. To an outside observer it doesn't seem like the Ukrainian government should have a problem filling its military with personnel with the widespread patriotism amongst the Ukrainian population; if need be open slots to Ukrainian women they likewise are outstandingly patriotic. There have been numerous individual accounts of Ukrainian women fighting capably and courageously in the separatist battles in the East back around 2016. The Ukrainian people especially those in the Ukrainian armed forces beware of President Vladimir Putin's use of peace negotiations to get advantage militarily especially in regard to his use of this tool to diminish Ukrainian fighting spirit which in a war is of critical importance any competent student of war will tell you this. Vladimir Putin will dangle out there a hope or a possibility for a peaceful settlement getting ordinary rank and file Ukranian soldiers believing and hoping a peace deal is imminent and then Putin will kill that hope after a few cycles of this ordinary Ukrainian soldiers will be inundated with disappointment and their fighting spirit will be diminished and they won't fight as well on the battlefield and the Russian Army will gain Ukrainian ground over this diminished performance by regular Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian soldiers and Ukrainian citizens should largely ignore any peace negotiation assume the negotiations will fail otherwise you're setting yourself up to be demoralized by the war and it may cause you to lose the war. Plus dealing with Vladimir Putin even after signing a deal one shouldn't let their guard down one should wait to it is fully implemented. Remember what happened to the Ukrainian military units at the Battle of Ilovaisk where Vladimir Putin and his proxies entered into a withdrawal agreement with the Ukrainian military command to withdrawal a sizable Ukrainian military force from the town of Ilovaisk and after the deal was made Putin and his proxies changed the terms of the deal and then reneged from the deal and killed a lot of Ukrainian soldiers during the withdrawal. The Ukrainian people need to never forget Vladimir Putin is not a trustworthy person!
