Ukraine Whistleblower May Not Testify In Person

Democrats are doing their damnedest to keep the inquiry illegitimate.

WASHINGTON—Lawyers for the CIA officer whose whistleblower complaint helped ignite an impeachment inquiry into President Trump have asked Congress whether their client could submit testimony in writing

Looks like he's just doing what the orange turd did. Got a problem with that?

Just wait till the Senate gets a hold of him in a real impeachment. It's called subpoena and if the left can issue them, so can the right.

The left HAS to maintain this "inquiry" because they know damn good and well that a true vote of impeachment would give republicans subpoena rights and the last thing they want is any of these asshats behind this attack on Trump to have to go under oath.
But you won't have any problem with people ignoring congressional subpoenas if trump tells tells them to, right?
What subpoenas?

The kitchen is getting hotter for Donald every day.

George Conway and other prominent conservatives call for ‘expeditious’ impeachment probe

"""""
....More than a dozen prominent conservative lawyers, including George T. Conway III, offered their legal reasoning for an “expeditious” impeachment probe into President Trump, creating a document they hope will be read by Republicans who continue to stand by the president.

The 16 attorneys, many of whom worked in Republican administrations, wrote in a joint statement to be released Thursday morning that Trump’s now infamous call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the text messages between diplomats and Trump’s public call for China to investigate a political opponent are “undisputed” events that amount to Trump violating his oath of office.""""""

It's an illegal impeachment.
So, are you saying that people that get subpoenaed by Congress should ignore the subpoenas if trump tells them to?

Because the way they are doing it is basically unconstitutional. They're doing it in a way that ensures Trump loses his 6th amendment rights. So yea, I support that Trump telling them to stuff their stupid subpoenas. Once a full vote is had, THEN I support subpoenas for both sides.

But no, I don't support them only for one. Unlike you I'm not a partisan hack. I want to know the truth but I also know that can't be done when only one side is allowed to speak.

Because the way they are doing it is basically unconstitutional.
"Basically"... Meaning, it kind of, sort of feels that way, to Trump supporters.

If the tides were turned and it was Hillary not being allowed to defend herself and republicans holding closed door hearings and making up rules as they go, you'd be fine with that, right?

Once a vote is held, there's an equal playing field.

I'd lay bets that the first witness called by the Republicans will be Adam Schiff.

Sure, it's legal.

But, try to remember: Hillary is not a pussy and a mental midget like Trump is. Hillary would sit in a public hearing for hours with them, if they demanded it. Trump can barely complete a sentence at all, much less get to the end of one without lying.

How is denying Trump the right to defend himself and cross examine the accuser legal?

How is it not? It's not a trial.

That's just one downside to a situation of which Trump has very much enjoyed the upside: Presidents won't be indicted. He has reaped the benefits of that. Now he gets the thorns, too: impeachment in the House is a political process, and the majority party has more power in it. They don't have to give him any rights of discovery, or of facing his accusers, or of speediness, among many other things.

I don't see a problem with that. trump was given a take home test by Mueller for his lawyers to complete for him, because they knew he would be incapable of telling the truth.

Correction. Trump was given a perjury trap that his lawyers were way too smart to let him get sucked into.
You can't get socked into a "perjury trap" if you don't lie!
But you can twist responses to fit a narrative.

What a giant load of horseshit. Hillary would not testify if she were the President. Furthermore, a Republican congress wouldn't attempt a coup of this sort. It's a scam. I giant lie. We all know Schiff for Brains is a sleazy lying scumbag. He's the best your party has to offer.

None, in other words. Thanks for admitting it.
