Cameron urges Israel to give Iran sanctions time - Israel News, Ynetnews

British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday urged Israel not to launch a military attack on Iran over its contested nuclear program and said sanctions should be given time to work.

Cameron said in a speech to the United Jewish Israel Appeal in London that a military strike against sites in Iran would only serve to rally the Iranian people around the regime at a time when the sanctions were starting to bite.

My two cents: If you continue sanctions the Iranian Economy will collapse and a revolution will follow and the tyrants will be gone...if Israel attacks, it will unite all factions, lots of dead Israelis and create a need for nukes a few years or less later...

Its Israel's move.

It's true. Israel doesn't have a concern for Iranians. This will make all of them unit against Israel who only sees their interests as the only thing that matters in the World. They are oblivious to what a bad move it would be. Atleast netanyhau

What's the best way for a tyrant under pressure to unite the country behind him?
Declare a war.

Iran might start shooting first anyway.

Another potential outcome would be to let Iran acquire nukes and give them to Syria or Lebanon who can use it against Israel. Id rather not wait for that to happen

That has be the objective of Israel and the United State for at least the past year.

I do not believe that Israel will attack INSIDE IRAN any time soon but will attack Iran's "interests" like Hezbollah For the record-----Iran has already attacked Israel -------Iran has comitted acts of war upon Israel and has also DECLARED WAR on Israel

Bite what? The evidence is that the sanctions have had no effect on Iran's nuclear weapons programs. As long as Iran continues to believe it is safe from attack there is no reason to believe it will end its nuclear weapons programs. If the goal is to hurt the Iranian people by ravaging their economy, then sanction alone is the way to go, but if the goal is to prevent Iran from becoming nuclear weapons capable then sanctions are only worthwhile to prevent Iran from rebuilding their nuclear weapons programs after they have been destroyed.

The British Prime Minister has some sense. Either way Iran will get them eventually. A war would only bring catastrophe. It won't bring any results. I think the world can see that already. It would be a very stupid decision

And you think that advice is being given in Israel's best interests?

It's up to Israeli leaders to decide that, but how will declaring a war make anything better? What will a war on Iran bring to the world? War is bad for everyone. We obviously know with the weapons Israel has it will result in massacres of Iranian people and little casualties on the Israeli side. I don't want that happening anymore.

Iran already DECLARED war on Israel and already comitted acts of war There is no question that there will be a war-----the ass lickers of the rapist pig have done it again

Iran will not get nukes if their programs are blown up now and the sanctions stay in place to prevent them from rebuilding them until they submit to a credible verification program. If necessary their nuclear weapons programs can be blown up a second time or a third time or more. Iran will only obtain nukes if the world refuses to use force to stop them.

According to the logic of the NRA, if we let every country have nuclear weapons then we'll all be safe.

AN ATOM BOMB IN EVERY POT

i am sure I could win an election on that slogan
