U.S. Capitol Police to Be Sued for $10 Million for Killing Unarmed Rioter

With all due respect, Mariyam...look at the time that elapses between when someone starts shouting "gun, gun, gun!" and when that Officer opens fire without warning! It's a matter of a few seconds. He's hiding off to the left where nobody can see him and then he slides out to make his kill shot. Ashli looked like she'd jumped up and was trying to kick out the window as the warning about a man with a gun is being yelled. I would guess that she never saw the gun or the man who was about to kill her.
Why would Ashli Targetpractice kick out a window that was already busted out?

More like 11 seconds. How much time did she need?

It's possible those three cops were warned to get out of there because lethal force was imminent in case the mob broke through the barricade.
If that's the case then someone made the call to kill a protester without warning and I'd like to know who it was that gave that order, Faun! One would think that at the very least the three Police that were just given "safe conduct" out of the door area would have had the decency to tell the protesters who just did so that they would be shot if they went through the door! Is it just me or does having those Police Officers leave constitute an unsaid invitation to the protestors to try and break down the doors? They sure as hell weren't doing so BEFORE the Police excited and started to immediately after! So was that a choice that the 3 Officers made...or were they ordered to step aside and allow the protesters to assault the doors with that Officer hiding out of sight ready to shoot to kill? Can you imagine the uproar if someone in charge had done something like this to a group of liberal protesters? I can...the main stream media would be HOWLING for blood!

Maybe they didn't want to get beat up until they were unconscious like officer Fanone?
Had anyone even touched one of them? They're standing there and all that's happening is yelling. They leave and that's when the door is assaulted. Maybe someone in charge decided it was time to kill a protester!

^^^ More lies

Trump's thugs weren't just standing there yelling before the cops left. They had already shattered some windows while the cops were there. They also threatened the cops.
The "threat" was the yelling. Since they gave the Police safe conduct out of the area is it safe to assume that the protesters really didn't want to injure the Police? You're assuming they would have and to be quite blunt that's not a given...it's an assumption.

What really disturbs me about that video is the large number of tactical Police that are shown down that stairway to the right. What are they doing? Why weren't they on the other side of the doorway or standing beside the three Officers who were in front of the doors? Who was in charge of this fiasco? You look through those doors and see ZERO security! It's like they're inviting the protesters to break down that door because they don't see any resistance and yet there are heavily armed Police lurking in that stairwell and another Officer hiding off to the side of the door ready to shoot someone. If you really want to deter someone from breaking down the doors then what they chose to do was the WORST possible way to do that!

Don't know yet but police don't always warn lawbreakers their actions may be responded to with lethal force. For example, I don't recall Sheskey warning Blake he was going to shoot him.

Police were getting injured all around. And those 3 cops were being threatened. And no cop killed any of them until they were about to breach their barricade.

"I would have preferred that they stood their post and told the protesters that they couldn't pass!"

Oh,sure. We are having a wonderful Monday morning display of willful obtuseness. Some might say.

Speaking for my poor avatar, well, we would have wished those Trump supporters had not beat the hell out of police on their way into the Capitol; or violently smashed those doors to the Speaker's Lobby; or that Duped & Snookered Babbitt hadn't thrust herself into that smashed breach.

If wishes were fishes the whole world would have kippers today.

Cops who tried to keep Trump's thugs out of the Capitol were beat up. Those cops were being threatened if they wouldn't leave. There's no reason to believe they wouldn't also have been attacked like others and those three were escorted out by heavily armed cops.

More lies. The police were the aggressors.

We will burn every city down unless they win!

At least we’ll learn the name of the murderer.

I still have to laugh when I see people supporting the violent rioter Ashely.

The policeman who shot the violent intruder can be seen behind barricaded doors. Ashley's testosterone had her screaming like a Banshee. She part of a group that wanted to kill duly elected representatives and to have the VP hung.
