U.S. Capitol Police to Be Sued for $10 Million for Killing Unarmed Rioter

"Screw the Kraken, let loose the Subpoenas."

And up jumps the devil in a brand new suit.
From today's Politico:

"Rep. Adam Kinzinger on Sunday indicated the select House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol would use its subpoena power to compel “a lot of people” to testify.

“I would expect to see a significant amount of subpoenas,” the Illinois Republican said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Do you think any of those subpoenas will be used to explain why the Capitol Police stood aside and allowed protesters to wail away on the doors yet literally seconds later opened fire on the people that they had basically given free rein to? I'd like to know why the 3 Officers that were standing in front of the doors moved aside and also why there was an entire stairwell full of Officers that stood by and allowed all of this to happen? You want to know why I make the point that those protesters didn't think they would be shot? Why would they? They just had the Capitol Police step aside and let them at the doors. Before that happened they were just standing there yelling. So how do you go from stepping aside...to shooting someone at point blank range? Who was in charge of this cluster fuck?

Do this poster Oldestyle: Write your Congressman, or any one of those Representatives on the Select Committee and ask them to ask the questions you think can lead to an answer.

If you think we mokes on an internet gossip board have such answers.....well...... ummm....

Let us know the responses you get.

Where in any video has the window been breached? Where is there someone climbing through it? Why do the Police in front of the door move out of the way? Have they been told to move because someone is going to fire into the crowd?

From the video Faun posted. As you can see in the 3rd and final photo, no one is the window any longer or near the door:

Honestly, they probably stepped aside for reasons of safety. I had never seen the video of that guy who was in the face of one of the officers whom he had backed against the door and kept smashing his fist against the glass door while right off of the side of the officer's head. Someone from the mob essentially stated that they wouldn't get hurt if they moved out of the way ("we'll make a path for you").

Did you want to take a crack at explaining why the Capitol Police step aside and ALLOW the protesters to start breaking the windows only to fire a deadly shot at them for breaking the windows just seconds later? Can anyone explain that to me? Does anyone want to explain the large number of heavily armed Police down the stairwell to the right who stood there and watched this going down? What the hell was going on that day? Who told the Police standing in front of the door to leave? Before they did the crowd was simply yelling but they weren't trying to break the doors down. As soon as the Police depart...the protesters start to try to break through the barrier. So why did the Police appear to give permission to break those doors only to shoot to kill seconds later? The more I see this video the more answers I want to hear.

For reasons of safety? I thought they were there bravely defending our members of Congress? Now you're telling me that they abandoned their post because some people yelled at them? Why didn't the large number of Police stationed down the stairwell assist them? Police don't move out of the way because civilians tell them "we'll make a path for you" if you leave! If they DO then they have zero business being Police!

I explained my opinion on this in the post right above the one in which you asked:

The officers are not required to take a beat down in a futile situation. They were outnumbered and I don't know at what point the officers in tactical hear showed up to assist them.

The bottom line in spite of everything that has been said though is that Ashli could have prevented her own death by not ignoring the cries of "gun, gun, gun" and not trying to breech a locked door by climbing through it's broken out window. Doors are locked for a reason.

When you barge into places that you aren't allowed to be in, were not invited into and in fact are unwanted then bad things can happen to you.

Would you have preferred that they shot them?
I would have preferred that they stood their post and told the protesters that they couldn't pass! I would have preferred that the Police lined up down the stairwell to the right got their asses between the doors and the mob and did their jobs! I would have preferred that coward hiding out of sight to the left hadn't shot to kill.

With all due respect, Mariyam...look at the time that elapses between when someone starts shouting "gun, gun, gun!" and when that Officer opens fire without warning! It's a matter of a few seconds. He's hiding off to the left where nobody can see him and then he slides out to make his kill shot. Ashli looked like she'd jumped up and was trying to kick out the window as the warning about a man with a gun is being yelled. I would guess that she never saw the gun or the man who was about to kill her.

It's possible those three cops were warned to get out of there because lethal force was imminent in case the mob broke through the barricade.

^^^ More lies

Trump's thugs weren't just standing there yelling before the cops left. They had already shattered some windows while the cops were there. They also threatened the cops.

The heavily armed police escorted the three cops away from that situation.

Maybe they didn't want to get beat up until they were unconscious like officer Fanone?

Not just locked door but a barricade on the other side.
