Zone1 Two Systems of Justice

The part you leave out with Lance Storz is that he had his wife and daughter in the house with him during the shoot-out with police. He was firing from a fortified position and had body armor on.

Here we see 2 examples of cognitive dissonance. What made this so different?

"Storz had had wife and daughter in the house" So? Blacks have been sitting inside houses and got killed by police. Not long ago in Houston, a black car thief stole a car at gunpoint from a black woman with a 1-year-old in the back seat. The police chased him into a gas station, opened fire, and hit a 1-year-old child in the head.

So what really was the difference here to the people writing these posts?

The answer is simple.
Race.

You would have a good argument here if every black person taken into custody was shot at first sight.

When in fact, deadly force is usually used as a last resort. Millions of black people are arrested or pulled over for traffic stops every year. Maybe 300 or so end up getting shot.

But instead of considering aggregate cases, you cherry pick the ones that make your case.

Funny how that didn't apply to Brionna Taylors boyfriend. The fact is the guy resisted arrest, killed 3 police and got to live. The guy in Ohio was unarmed. Police don't get to shoot people just because they run. Tennessee vs. Garner determined that such force is only to be used if the person poses a threat to police or the community. The guy killed in Akron did not pose such a threat.

Stop making excuses for white criminals.

Breonna Taylor's boyfriend got to live, too. Heck, he didn't even face criminal charges after starting a shootout with the cops that got his girlfriend killed.

Stop making excuses for black criminals.

I am black. You aren't qualified to question me. You are a racist. Whites commit more crimes and as we see here a white man can resist and kill police without getting killed. The white on white homicde rate is just as high, and white racism is the cause for the stress and frustration that leads to blacks killing blacks. Study some psychology before you try arguing with me.
Not all black people who are confronted by cops are killed.

Cops often use too much force. Shooting as much as they did in this recent case is certainly excessive. They had a report of being shot at and the guy was running as if he were guilty of something more serious than a traffic violation. All together, the reasonable assumption is that everyone involved acted poorly. The dead man obviously used extremely poor judgement. The cops overdid it. We don't know enough about everything to base much more upon.
There are clear problems in society on just about all sides. Education is not taking place as it should, beginning in the home.

60 bullets shot into a man running away. Yet in the same space of days a dude kills 6 people then tries to run from the police and he lives. This has gotten out of hand and it's not really both sides doing it.

60 Bullets shot into a man running away after he fired a gun, wore a ski mask and intentionally made a threatening gesture. This case is REALLY looking like a suicide by cop.

Meanwhile, the guy who shot into the crowd, had planned his scheme out for months, wore a disguise to avoid detection, and had the good sense to not resist when the cops caught up to him.

The fact is, and you seem to keep avoiding this point... the police make 10 million arrests and 40 million traffic stops a year.

Of those only 1000 end up in the use of lethal force. Of those, only 36 involved a person who was unarmed. Maybe 100 cops don't show enough caution and get shot, stabbed, run over, etc.

So let's be generous and say that out of 50 million interactions between the public and police, 1100 go wrong. which mean the police get it RIGHT 99.998% of the time.

I mean, it would have been nice if they had caught Jayland Walker was distraught over his dead girlfriend and talked him down instead of reacting to his aggressive actions (Firing a gun, jumping out of a moving vehicle while wearing a sky mask, running away while reaching for his waist.) But at the end of the day, Walker's own actions got him killed.

They'll probably still end up crucifying at least one of these cops, and then they'll wonder why no one wants to be a cop anymore.

Sigh, comparing apples and oranges again!

Okay, let's look at the premise of this article.

Nearly every white suspect of a crime has been able to exercise their right to a fair trial. On the other hand a Black suspect may find themselves dead before they get a chance to be proven innocent. The recent cases of Jayland Walker and Robert E. Crimo demonstrate this phenomenon.

Okay. Big problem with this. There are 10 million people who are arrested every year by police. Of those, maybe 1000 of them are killed by police. (and about 100 police are killed by suspects.) Even doing simple math, you know that most of the 1000 killed were white and if even a minimum demographic of those arrested were black, the vast majority of blacks do not "find themselves dead". Being killed by police, while high compared to other industrialized countries, is still an exceptional incident, not the rule.

Next up.

Before Walker was killed, he was planning to wed his fiancee Jaymeisha Beasley. However, she was killed in a violent car crash just a mont before his killing, reported WKYC. People who knew Walker told reporters the incident shook him as well as his behavior which they called “strange.” Before the police shooting, he had no previous issues with the authorities. Family attorney Bobby DiCello also described Walker’s last days “bizarre” but that his behavior was not lethal nor an excuse for the shooting.

It’s unclear whether Walker shot his firearm at the police during the chase as authorities
claim.

Simply not true. There was a flash of gunshot out of the window of his car. And, yes, he had a gun on him. He jumped out of a moving vehicle wearing a ski mask (in late June) and made a threatening gesture towards police. The details of this case SCREAM "Suicide by Cop".

Crimo’s history didn’t establish a clear and present danger to deny his application for a FOID card. However, he did post music and music videos streaming platforms alluding to gun violence and depicting school shootings which has since been taken down, per Chicago’s WGN 9 News.

Last time I checked, we can't arrest people for what they post on the internet. If we did, we'd get rid of half the population of USMB.

We have decided, as a country, that crazy people have a God Given Right to have a gun, and it's just as bad when you have a convicted felon picked up on his fifth felony because Kim Foxx has unliterally decided to not enforce the gun laws in Cook County.

So how is it that a Black man with no criminal background gets 60 bullets to the body but a white mass shooter - who’s shown multiple signs of being dangerous - lives to see another day? Even if the rest of Crimo’s days are spent in a prison cell, Walker never got the chance to sit before a judge.

Um, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Yes, we all hope that the cops we encounter will show fantastic judgement, and most of the time, THEY GET IT RIGHT.

Did they get it wrong in this Walker's case? Maybe they did. Or maybe they acted appropriately given the information they had, a masked suspect firing a gun and evading police.

Did they get it wrong in Crimo's case? IN the arrest, no. In not flagging him as dangerous, yes, but again, we live in a gun pornocracy, and we aren't going to change no matter how many parade goers or preschoolers pay the price.

ya place yer bet and ya takes yer chances.

Sometimes ya get “lucky” when you fire on police trying to apprehend you and you survive.

Sometimes you don’t.

Sometimes it’s the white offender who dies and the black offender who survives.

And sometimes the person who posts about this random outcome will simply “declare” that it’s due to racism.

You question whites and hold whites accountable every goddamn day. You confuse Qualified with Entitled.
You make excuses for white racism every day. That's the entitlement mentality. I question whites who are that post racism every day. You are not qualified to question blacks because your racism has you already withconclusions. There are whites here who are qualified to ask questions because they have not formed the conclusions you have that you refuse to drop when you are shown they are wrong.

Who deemed yourself the one to determine who is qualified vs. who is not? When you say my conclusions or synopsis is incorrect it is based on facts that lie between your ears yet you demand they are fact without empirical or validated data to back it up. That’s entitlement.
